Well actually that was your comment about Dooley and that's my point. Some would consider that comment ignorant. Where do you draw the line to say "their" ignorant but your not? Just because you don't agree with what someone else say's doesn't make them ignorant. Personally I think calling someone else ignorant is a sure sign of ignorance.

Cannot help but believe that a big part of Vol nation is very young people. Those of us who have been watching the Vols for 50 years understand a little more what we are seeing. Not that we are any smarter , we have been there , done that.

Thank You!! How True!! I love to share this story. In 1998 I was at Lowe's early on a Saturday Morning. Me and my Wife were there looking at lamp's or "some" lighting fixture, I dont know, my mind wasn't really there because UT was playing Florida in about 6 hours. Anyway, I see this guy walk up the aisle that me and my wife were in, he was decked out, I mean decked out....Orange and white nike's, #16 Jersey, Orange UT sweat pants....it was a sweet outfit. I said "nice outfit, I see your ready for the game, its gonna be a good one"! I swear, this guy looked at me straight in the face and said, "I'm really not a fan, I just like the colors"!! Why in the hell would anybody spend 400$ on an outfit, and not be a fan??? I mean I like Michigan State colors, I'm not running out to buy their stuff!!

Being in texas, I use this site to connect with other vol fans b/c there are obviously not many down here. I also realize that this is a message board and people will say some stupid things b/c no one knows who they are aside from "purevol" or whatever. Why hate the fans.....how many football programs would have fans go through the last five abysmal seasons and still break servers when the new coach is hired? Not many.

While perspective in regards to athletics is important, there are thousands of people who are ready to win again. Their continued passion says a lot about the tradition of UT football. Without it, it is just another program.
