I Still Don't Believe...

the OP said he doesn't think we are anywhere close to getting an invite to the big dance. I'd say that if we need 2 more quality wins, that would be considered pretty far from receiving a bid.

That said, I would love nothing more than to beat the **** out of everyone we played. I just think people are gonna get let down if they keep focusing on the tournament, and there is not a damn thing to feel let down about in regards to this team. They have lived up to every possible expectation that anyone could have had for them.

And we are better than both those potential teams.

I'm not trying to deny we have work to do, but it's not like Mission Impossible.

The NCAA owe coach Martin a bid because of the shaft he got last year.I am glad he did because he might not be our coach now.

No part of me wants to play UF for the third time, and Miss St. has the talent to beat anyone. Either team could easily beat us.

1) We dominated them twice. I like our chances again. If they can't nut up to beat us after the whipping they received from us in the first game, they won't the third time.

2) Sure, but we lost by 4 at their place with a chance to win without Jarnell.

Honestly, I'm not going to be disappointed if we don't get a bid. We're a bubble team- there is zero chance what we get will be a shafting. We will get what we've earned through the course of the season.

1. anyone who knows anything about sports will agree that we probably don't want to play a big time rival for a third time after already beating them twice this year. It is very, very hard to beat a team 3 times in one year.

2. I'm not just talking about their performance against us earlier in the season. Did you watch them play UK? They have the talent to beat anyone.

We owe MSU for 2009. I know we crushed them at their house the following season, but I want to beat them in an SECT.

1) Sure, but Florida is a team you can do it too.

2) Agree, but so we can.

Even then, the OP was incorrect in saying this team is very far away from a tourney bid. Two wins is not very far away.

Of course. This season is a success. Anything else is dessert.

That Tennessee is even close to getting a bid, like most on here keep harping about. That said, it's a miracle that Cuonzo Martin even has this team competing for bubble consideration. Martin's resume shows that his teams usually improve tremendously from year one to year two. I think he's ahead of that trend.

I believe you are wrong sir. 2 wins and we are in. Maybe just 1, but I think 2 more, and it's a done deal.

That is probably the most inexcusable loss of the Bruce Pearl era. That was just flat out sad.

The Okie State loss didn't help either.

I just hope our players keep their eyes on the next game. If they start listening too much to Bubble talk and all of the positive vibes they're going to get from the media this week about the turnaround, they might forget that they still need to 'bring it' every night to get wins next week. We might be 'very close' to dancing in the sense that we're just two wins away from having a pretty good argument at the debate over the final teams, but we're also just one loss away from playing ourselves into the NIT.

Discussion, hell. It's the talk of the nation. Watch it go all "Charlie Sheen" if the Cats TCB and we get a two seed in a major conference behind the top team in the country. That's before the tourney starts. Watch and see how many times you hear this during the upcoming week from every sports desk in the country. People find this team irresistable. Fact.
Is that why sportscenter didn't even mention our win over vandy?

We'll probably get discussed during College Basketball Live, or w/e ESPN's CBB-only show is called. But, SportsCenter usually only shows games involving ranked teams, and, during this time of the year, conference title games.

Yeah. Florida was so close to winning both those games they played against us, that I'm scared too. We squeaked by. Don't think we can eek out another close one against them.

I don't think our coach would ever allow them to look ahead.

We were indeed shown and discussed during CBB Live.
