I'd Like To Thank Sean Miller For Proving My Point.

Not much different than UT. Pearl is UT's Lute Olson, sans the National Championship.
Don DeVoe had more NCAA appearances at Tennessee than all pre Lute coaches at Arizona combined. That's not even taking into account that Arizona was in the WAC for a huge portion of their history.

This is a man who called unlv the 4th or 5th best job in the mountain west. By the way if we are not going young for this hire, I wouldn't mind hat's supposed friend Kruger.

Tournament was awesome tonight. Big East and Big Ten and Duke flame out. My entire Final Four is still around.

You do realize that the last 5 years are all that matters in this, right?

The number of team wins in the last 5 years
The team’s all-time winning percentage
The number of conference championships in the last 5 years
Total attendance at recent home games
Number of bowl games in the last 5 years
Number of national rankings 25th or above in the last 5 years
Number of program players currently playing in the National Football League (NFL) or National Basketball Association (NBA)

For everyone talking about what a long, dark road UT has ahead of them, Arizona was a bigger mess when Miller took over than Tennessee is now. It's taken him all of two years to return to the Elite Eight.

It's a simple equation. Commitment by the administration + Hiring the right guy=Big success.

your gonna pat yourself on the back before the job has even started? wow that takes some nerve. even the biggest football homers ever are concerned about our football program returning to what it was.

Besides taking advantage of a lucky draw to get to the Elite Eight, what did Pearl accomplish at UT that Mears didnt? Or Hell, Jerry Green for that matter.

Like the positive attitude but different situations. Arizona has a lot of good tradition it just does not add up.

12th vs. tied for 135th

pretty much the same thing.

15 sweet 16s to 6.

9 elite eights to 1

4 final fours to 0

1 national title to 0.

Yea pretty much the same program just different colored uniforms.

actually I guess its 10 elite eights to 1 now. Maybe another final four as well.

Programs are not even close to comparable.

And, yes Arizona was in the WAC for a long time, but since they've joined the PAC-10, they've won 3 more conference regular season titles than UT has in its entire time in the SEC.

So basically, the big differences between the programs is they hired someone infinitely better than Bruce Pearl.
