As long as the next coach wins, I could care less what race, color, religion, sexual orientation or gender he/she is. Yes, I would take a women head coach...I vote Erin Andrews. Think about the 4 and 5 star recruits she could bring in.

As far as my generation (college age) is concerned no. In fact I would say the majority of folks I know are past "race" as being something you consider in any job.

No need to play the race card. If he wins we love him if he loses we hate him. Very.Simple.

Really ???? Why bring raced into this ? Have you not been reading the boards ?? Outside of Gruden this place and every other Tennessee forum has found something wrong with every other person mentioned from Stoops , Fisher, Patterson , Peterson , Jones, Vora ,tressel ,Petrino , Gundy and yes Strong and anyone else that has been mentioned .It hasn't a damn thing to do with race

So....... Because a coach goes 10-2 after 3 yrs @ Louisville ( big east) qualifies him to be our coach at Tn. Are we that desperate?

I dont care if he was zebra striped with purple polka dots.. Race has nothing to do with it. I would not be excited about a coach in the big east that loses to teams like FIU. Its easier to recruit to a team with a good head coach like Urban Myer and in Florida than it is on your own.

No because he can recruit and his defenses kicked the shiate out of us, we did hire a guy from LA Tech with a worse record, just sayin.....

i dont want strong to be coach here, but what can we fans do other than support the team, doesn't mean i have to like the coach though. i like martin for basketball he is a stand up guy and human. Not sure about strong in that regard though. wonder how many current players are gonna leave if strong is our coach??
