If Holly Warlick is the coach-in-waiting

Maybe it's my own ignorance on the subject, and I am by no means an apologist for the guy, however I think Bruce Pearl would be intriguing.

I can't believe how many Tennessee fans still think Dave Hart hires women's coaches.

Can't believe you don't know that he is going to be over the men and the women and that there will be no seperate women's AD.

I'm sure whoever we hire will be a former player and/or assistant. Probably Caldwell or Jolly-Harper. However I wish the AD would consider John Shulman at UTC. This guy has had an incredible run there.

Dang. I had never seen that. I just ran a web search on the topic. I remember Joan Cronan running everything on an interim basis, but I thought that was just in between Hamilton and Hart. I had no idea they were looking at combining ADs. The maintenance of entirely separate websites, colors, and logos makes them continue to look like separate entities.

Not sure if Matthew Mitchell would leave UK but he'd easily be the first person I'd call at this point.

I'd cll Matt Mitchell, Jolly-Harper, then Caldwell....At the game Sunday against Auburn. Good to see Pat on her stool during timeouts and being more involved in the game. She even got after the officials a couple of times. Holly is nice and has been loyal to Tennessee but Head Coach to take the Lady Vols job is not something she needs to do. She has lots of years and could retire with good retirement and go to another state and coach again, make more money and retire again....It is done all the time....Lady Vols looked much better Sunday against Auburn but the season is not over. Pat really wants a Final Four and another pendant to hang from the ceiling at TBA. She deserves it and this team if they will play as a team can get it for her and for themselves....Go Lady Vols

He would leave UK for the TENN position. There are VERY few coaches who wouldn't leave their current school to be the HC here. Matthew Mitchell is not one of them.

Pretty much UK's entire staff has UT ties. If we really want them, I'd think we'd stand a pretty good chance.

I think you mean Wes Moore at UTC. He has had an incredible run there and has had other offers. Shulman coaches the men and has not had a good run there.

Jolly-Harper is a rising star in the coaching business.

Why not go after a bigger name?

FWIW, Rick Insell would probably be at least as good as most everone that has been mentioned

Doh!! You're right!! I'm blaming it on the vodka!!

Seriously though, yes Wes Moore is who I meant. He has really built a dominant women's program at UTC. Shulman is likely gone after this year!

Pat's support group should never have allowed this to happen to a great lady and a proud program.

Can Holly et al coach? Don't think we will ever know, with Pat sitting on the bench, not really a fair judgement of Holly by herself.

I am so tired of all the message boards referring to our great talent level. In the last THREE WNBA drafts we have had a total of 1 person drafted. This years team will be a continuation of that trend.

Johnson and Stricklen are certainly going to be drafted. In the later rounds possibly Baugh as well if she stays healthy.

What I am seeing is a team totally unprepared. Why keep running the same stuff if it is not working. Can't wait for this drama to end!

Never have heard Holly ever being offerred any job.Mikki took one and turned several down. Some are born Assts and she may be one.Theres a guy at LSU been in football along time not heard of any offers over the years to him.Sometimes it happens. One big questions with uncertainty of next year are recruits staying with UT or are they jumping ship

Holly will run the program into the ground! This team has no heart, and is very overhyped. I don't see them making it to the elite eight this year! IMO you pay the best that money can offer to get back to winning championships!

With the loss to the Lady Commodores the Lady Vols are 17-7, ranked 1tth and don't deserve this ranking.:whistling:They'll be lucky to make the "sweet 16."
They don't have the spark nor motivation.
