This will ensure it if the higher seeds wins, but the committee is there to rank/seed the teams, not to predict the outcomes of their seeding. Some are playing this touchy feely stuff. OMG we can't have an all SEC Final well we have in the past and it makes no difference. Which is more reason to separate them in the first game. GA vs TCU, OSU vs TN. The outcomes of those games would validate who the best conference is for this year.Just to ensure there are not 2 SEC teams in the final!!
Michigan... and Bazooka Joe gets to throw a couple of TD passes to cap off the rout.I’d prefer to get OSU or Michigan round 1 if we make the playoffs. I could see being put at #4 tho. I can also see us getting left out altogether.
Just for fun tho, let’s say we do make it AND get out at #3, who would you rather face? OSU or Michigan?
Great point. At one point, 17 million were viewing Tenn/Alabama. And, because of Nick Saban stranglehold on most everyone, most wanted to see Bama lose. Therefore, we picked up some bandwagoners. I think you are on to something. At some point, advertising and viewer dollars matter. And I watched TCU for the first time Saturday night against Texas. Seems their QB was on his ass most of the game. That game was garbage for both teams and who wants to watch that?Believe it or not. TV ratings matter imo. NCAA knows if Tennessee is in there, the viewer ship increases tremendously. I know some will say that don’t matter but it does imo

I think Ohio State is lying in wait for Michigan very much like Georgia was 2 weeks ago with us. Sleep walking through their last couple of games with a sorta close call at Penn State—which they still won handily.
Michigan/OSU really is a different animal when it comes to rivalries. Even the SEC doesn’t have anything that compares. It’s the greatest rivalry in all of sports.
I like that top 3,.. I see an undefeated TCU being in the 4th spot at seasons end. Tennessee v The Ohio State would be something to damn see!As I've stated at least 3 times in the past 7 days, the final 4 will most likely be:
1. GA
2. Ohio St.
3. Tennessee
4. USC/TCU (Oregon is now out)
It's pretty apparent based on the 1st and 2nd CFP polls that the committee wants these top 4.
Only disaster nightmare scenario would be LSU upsetting GA and winning SEC championship game. I'm sure the committee would have a hard time not putting the SEC champ in the final 4 even with 2 losses.

My favorite rivalry is the Army-Navy game. I obviously don’t care about the teams records but that game just seems so special.
