I want the playoffs as much as anyone, but you folks are over estimating the committee. They don’t want TN in. They will put USC or the loser of Michigan/Ohio State in before the Vols . As far as TCU, I ain’t sure they will lose a game at this point .
All them square head yankee teams look the same to me. Vols by fiddy !!!!I’d prefer to get OSU or Michigan round 1 if we make the playoffs. I could see being put at #4 tho. I can also see us getting left out altogether.
Just for fun tho, let’s say we do make it AND get out at #3, who would you rather face? OSU or Michigan?
I’m with you. This will happen and that’s why I think Clemson will sneak back into the equation of they win out. LSU will lose to UGA and if 1-loss Clemson beats 1-loss UNC that’ll be justification enough to put them and their conference championship in over the OSU/UM loser, especially if it’s Michigan. If it’s Ohio State then they might get in as their SOS is better than UM.What happens if USC and TCU lose, which is very likely to happen. Do they dare make it an all SEC, Big ten playoff?
And that is why I believe it won't happen again soon.Refresh my memory, who played in last year's championship game???? GA and Alabama?
Why do people think the committee doesn't want TN in? Because they got dominated by GA?I want the playoffs as much as anyone, but you folks are over estimating the committee. They don’t want TN in. They will put USC or the loser of Michigan/Ohio State in before the Vols . As far as TCU, I ain’t sure they will lose a game at this point .
Yes. I don't know why people think the committee is against TN.To the contrary. Committee had the chance to follow the AP poll and put TN at 3rd in the first rankings. They didn't. They leap-frogged us into first. There's been nothing to suggest to this point that the committee doesn't want TN in the playoffs.
I really think people are overestimating the odds the loser of OSU/Michigan gets in over us. No way the committee will see beating Penn State as equivalent to beating LSU/Alabama. In OSU's case, you could throw in Notre Dame, but that probably won't look much more impressive than some of our other wins, let alone all together.
We are an SEC team with a ton of hype and the CFP is yet to put us behind a team who doesn't have less losses. I am concerned about a 1 loss conference champion, and maybe 2 loss LSU, but I think we are in front of any team that isn't a conference champion.Yes. I don't know why people think the committee is against TN.
