We should all quit worrying, folks. I'm sure MHF is vouching for Pearl. He's the same guy who championed the character of the Pumps. He's obviously plugged in and knows where this is going.

I did say they are not worse than Worldwide, but that is not the same thing as championing their character unless you think We$ is a saint.

Many of the teams who have been successful in basketball over the years have some sort of history with rules violations.

I agree. But I'm honestly asking, what schools can you think of where coaches have flat out been caught lying to the NCAA? To a large degree, it's not even about rules violations at this point.

I also find it hard to believe you're that offended by her calling out the fan base it happens every day on this site.

Anyways, fact of the matter is that comment was uncalled for. She did nothing wrong, show a little class.

It doesn't matter. Cheating is cheating and falsifying is falsifying. With the thousands of infractions, i'm sure there are several that involve misleading the NCAA.

I feel like you gave me an assignment. I'll research and post my results within a week.

I think there is an ncaa infractions database though...would be nice if you could get access to that.

When did I say I was offended by what she said? I just said that opened her up to obvious joking statements. I am sorry that you are so sensitive.

Its like my father, who doesn't need me to defend him, always said. If she can't take it, she doesn't need to dish it out.

I'm not sensitive at all actually, I just think it's lame of you to hide behind your keyboard and criticize a girl you don't even know just to be a jackass.

As far as I know she's never said she couldn't take it. She seems to be a pretty tough, out spoken lady to me.

Anyways this is a waste of time.

again, if the university offered him a new contract, there is no reason to think he will be fired on the current evidence that the university knew about at the time of the retraction of the old contract. the university understands what he means to ut basketball and where he has brought the program to.

How can we keep him as our basketball coach if he did half of what is being said. He lied, got his coaches to lie and tried to get recruits and families of recruits to lie. He knew that he was violating NCAA Rules by having recruits to his house and did it anyway. As much as I love coach pearl and what he had done for our basketball program, we can not keep him and maintain any credibility as a higher learning institution.:cray::cray:

If you lied about speeding would it be the same as lying about rape?

They are both wrong, and both are lying about lawbreaking.

What people seem to lose track of is that Pearl lied about 3 juniors going to an all team barbecue at his house. The event was not made for them, it did not confer competitive advantage and it was not a substantial benefit.

If he tried to hand someone $10,000 or tried to get an agent to promise a kid a shoe contract if he came to the school, and then he lied about it, the NCAA would destroy him.

This is NOT the same thing.
