The ACC is on the verge of collapse. They are a G level league now. SMU was a G5 team last season and landed there via expansion. The Big 12 was burning down and added G5 teams as a band-aid. In 3 or 4 years neither conference will likely exist. Especially not the ACC.

The former Colorado head coach was on CBS sports radio this week and said the same thing. That the Big 10 and SEC are the P2 and that the Big 12 and ACC are g level leagues. He said that as a Colorado alumni and former coach. He said he had go be honest and that both are one bid leagues.

Boise State's schedule is tougher than SMUs. You can't put SMU in the playoff when they finished 2nd to a team that just lost to the 6th place SEC team.

Well that 3 loss team that made it in was just beaten at home by a 3 loss team from the conference of the other 3 loss team in question. It's wild that these discussions are out here. SMU and Bama clearly are less than 12 hours from figuring out if they will play for a CFP or likely have loads of Opt outs for some random bowl game that players don't care about anymore.

ASU will be the 4-seed. Boise gets the 3-seed.

Would you want a two loss UT team that just lost the conference championship by a 50 yard FG with no time left on the clock to get left out over another P4 team that had 3 losses? No matter who they played and UT played. I am sure you would say it wouldn't be right! Because it wouldn't be right and you know it!!!

Alabama should not be in and that the facts. Just because they play in the SEC, doesn’t mean you can get in with 3 losses.

Just because you play a harder schedule than someone else, you still loss🤷🏾‍♂️

You can't just look at W-L record and say that beating a 9-3 Duke team is better than beating a 7-5 Florida team. I think most of us would agree that Florida is better than Duke.

While I think it should be Ole Miss, the three loss stuff isn't a big deal. At least one, and several times twice, a 3 loss team has finished in the top 12 in the final CFP ranking in 9 of the 10 years it's existed. 3 loss teams will be a normal occurance.

Probably the later, that is why the discussion was created. If they do, they need to fire all of them and let the computers determine it
until people can have some integrity! No one is saying SMU would beat Bama. But, SMU DESERVES A CHANCE to prove people wrong! PERIOD! Bama doesn't deseve a chance to prove anyone wrong after an embarrasing loss to the 13th ranked team in the conference and not even scoring one TD! Bama has had plenty of other chances they shouldn't have gotten over the years! It is time to give other teams a chance! I don't give a **** what P4 conference they represent with them losing on a walk off 50 yard FG!!!
