Who the heck would want Petrino? Seriously!

Can someone post the picture of him I a neck brace, cherry wrecked cheeks and all.

He would make us the butt of all the jokes about him.

Kentucky was smart not to be interested.

Too much bad public opinions of him.

We'd look so desperate we'd be picking out the shiniest turd in the toilet!

YEAH Petrino! He would quickly turn around or current situation of a high powered offense and horrible defense and install his own high powered offense and horrible defense. Then everybody will fear us.

It's KENTUCKY!...They were not going to hire anybody who was relevant to college football anyways...They hired Mark Stoops for god sake :eek:lol:

I did not agree with any Pertrino talk until now. If Strong is out then I think he is the next best option.

Perhaps we need each other at this point as nobody has a date to the prom. And let's face it, both parties are not bad looking at all but merely have xome issues to overcome.

This could be a good marriage in the long run. BTW...what choice do we have? I cannot think of too many.

Spot on IMO. We need to swallow our pride and hire a proven winner who is hungry to clear his name. We know the NFL won't come calling. If he acts right, he eventually wins big here, don't ever doubt that.

So glad Louisville gave him a raise to keep him. We would have wallowed in mediocrity with him.

Now, we are free to go get a proven winner like Petrino. In fact we also have public relations cover because we've been rejected by several and we are a bit desperate. We just need to structure his contract with major moral and loyalty clauses to protect ourselves. Look, I understand the resistance to this, but we ain't hiring a pastor, we're hiring a football coach who can win against the big dogs in the SEC !!!

With petrino, We are hiring a guy that burned the schools he left to the ground.

No thanks. Put the pipe down.

Racist imo.

And just what does race have to do with it Mr. Idiot?

I don't like Strong because he is not a good enough recruiter and anybody could win in the Big Least conference. That's it.

In fact, it's well documented on this board that my first choice for the job is James Franklin, another black guy.

I'll be the first to admit I think he's a sleazebag but as long as he keeps out of trouble there is little doubt he will win here. The questions regarding him have never been his coaching ability. He'd be willing to sign a strict contract just to get back in the business and clear his name. In a couple years we'll be back on top and all will be forgotten. The bottom line in sports is winning solves all problems. There is not a more proven SEC coach out there right now. Hart needs to make it happen.

I honestly did not know Franklin was black. He now moves from #24 on my list to #23. I'll move my old #23, Rehire Dooley, to #24. I'm Keeping Kiffin at #25 though.

Arkansas was ranked #3 in the country when he was let go.They sucked without him. Wtf is in your pipe.

He's a born liar. He interviews for jobs midseason, leaves jobs midseason, lies about his loyalty, and is morally bankrupt.

He is right, it is time to strike now for Petrino, don't believe the radio spin. Petrino can win at TN. The truth is these guys that turned TN down, know the pressure cooker TN and they believe it is too hard to get us back in the elite of the SEC. Petrino knows he can. TN is kind a different job in that you can be a NC here, but at the same time it can be hard to start winning. It is kind of a all or nothing job, Gundy and Strong must know they can not deliver and deal with the pressure. Petrino can get that SEC title and NC at TN...he is the guy to get you where you want to be.

I agree on the Strong part, but don't want Petrino. He's a scumbag and has left everywhere he's been more embarrassingly than Lane Kiffin.

After UL takes on the Gators, there might be some big sighs of relief that we didn't overpay to the tune of $4M+ to a nice guy who hasn't proved much. He's a good coach, but when you hardly ever play anybody ranked, it's not so hard to have Ws. It's a whole different game in the SEC, where you play ranked teams half the time.
