‘23 IL WR Carnell Tate (Ohio State commit)

although kodi burns is gone, you gotta think he is still in Tate’s ear trying to get him to choose Tennessee

I mean from all accounts (hearsay)he was one of the coaches that didn't mesh well.Im not saying he's a bad dude or coach just wasn't a good fit with this staff. He wouldn't say anything bad but I'm sure he's more focused on the Saints at this time.

I mean we went from like 102nd to 9th in offense in 1 year. That’s mind boggling. I didn’t expect anything near that.
Sir,

Not trying to start an argument. But I DID tell you we would be at least Top 25 in the 1st year. Our QB from 2017-2020 was the worst investment in the history of Tennessee Volunteer sports. I knew with a new QB and a guy like Heupel who had the track record already for offensive success that we would be good.

It still needs a lot of improvement imo, but as long as Heupel is here it will always be an offense that puts up points and yardage.

$$$$
When word got out that TN offered a HS kid 8 million, my belief is HS kids all over the country will want to see what TN will offer them too. Name & color of jersey mean nothing any more, its about "show me the money" mentality.

I could be completely wrong, but schools that don't pay will be left behind. This is why Saban is upset because it is no longer past success, it's about how rich can I get being 18 years old. These kids have "handlers" or "family" that supposedly help them, but now through in money and watch what happens. They all want a piece of the pie now and its happening, whether we agree or disagree.

The $8 million has never been “officially” proven though

I don’t recall that but if you did, kudos to you. Although I think even you didn’t expect that much improvement. Either way I hope we can sustain it.

So when is Tate announcing? I don’t follow recruiting too often but know the names of the main recruits.
Are the Vols truly expected to sign this kid? What about Kasper?
