I'll ask: The pink elephant in the room.....

That's your opinion, but still not support of what the far right has been crying ever since Obama got into office

What kind of bullshiz answer is that? She said it and he supported it. It's not an opinion that she was damning our history. She was. He tacitly approved. They're both racist people.

Like Obama or not. He received a lot of criticism from both the right and left during the 2008 presidential campaign. Obama said several times he would be willing to strike Al Qaeda forces inside Pakistan.

During the 2007 Dem Priimary:

""If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won't act, we will," Obama said"

"Obama criticized President George W. Bush's emphasis on al Qaeda in Iraq and said as president he would end the war there and refocus efforts on the al Qaeda threat in Afghanistan and Pakistan by sending at least two additional U.S. brigades to Afghanistan."

link:Tough talk on Pakistan from Obama | Reuters

During 2008 General electoin:
On the surface, Obama advocated a tougher line, as he has done since the start of his campaign. “If the United States has al Qaeda, (Osama) bin Laden, top-level lieutenants in our sights, and Pakistan is unable or unwilling to act, then we should take them out,” he said. He talked about the $10 billion Washington had given to Pakistan in aid over the last seven years, saying it had failed to rid the border region of al Qaeda and the Taliban

“You have got to deal with Pakistan,” the Illinois senator said, and I coudn’t help thinking how those words will play out in a nation already under immense pressure from both the militants and the United States.

McCain was more considered, saying he would work with the Pakistan government and that new President Asif Ali Zardari’s (whose name he seemed to have mis-pronounced) had his plate full. And he accused his rival of threatening Pakistan with military strikes. “You don’t say that aloud. If you have to do things, you have to do things, and you work with the Pakistani government,” he said.

not only that, but Black Liberation Theology is filled with anti-American sentiments, especially in regards to the middle class. Add to that the fact that he was raised by radical leftists and groomed by Frank Marshall Davis, and you have a POTUS with a very conflicted past.

all that said, he did the right thing in this regard and for once in his Presidency showed some remarkable leadership. He accomplished what Clinton wouldn't do and what W. couldn't do. It's probably too far away from Nov. 2012 to help him though.

I have listed several examples on page 15.

Those examples don't support your position that Obama hates America and the military. You might actually want to delete them because it supports my position that he has never actually said anything detrimental about the US.

Is this a joke?:eek:hmy:

The only answer I had at the time :) It's your opinion. How do you know he approved? Because he didn't chastise her publicly? That isn't any proof.

so the only way one can argue this is if they have obama saying publically that he hates america? somehow i doubt you would expect the same burden of proof for bush.

never? like never ever?

Yea because I won't bow at the feet of the one. I won't suck off a guy who has bashed our military and our country every chance he gets because he makes one call, which if it were up to him we would not have been in a position to kill Bin Laden at all. So yes I am bitter, but you keep on worshiping the one.

I thought you would have left by now; however, I am glad you have stuck around because I have a pressing question I need you to address:

How does it feel to go through life with your mouth tasting like your *******?

You just want to ignore his quotes. But go ahead those are direct examples of his statements that show he hates what this country has traditionally stood for. He wants to fundamentally transform this country remember?

In 2006 Pelosi claimed that even if OBL were killed or in custody it wouldn't make a difference, the damage he had done, had been done.

Today, she said that it was historic and is the most significant event in the US fight against Al-Quaeda.

I read the 2006 quote that capturing/killing him wouldn't erase the damage he had done - it was done. And in fact by not capturing/killing him, he continues to inflict damage.

I guess it could be taken in a contridictory context, she provides a pretty target rich environment with plenty of stupidity. But I can give her a pass on this one.

I'm pretty sure the majority of those quotes are concerning bigotry, slavery, and oppression. So are you saying you support those ideals and dislike Obama for calling them bad?

No, but why does he have to bring them up at every turn? Everyone knows a long time ago this country had some bad things go on but that was a long time ago. Why does he have to point out our flaws in every speech he makes when he leaves this country?

And not all of them were over past race issues.

You should move on. you won't find any Bush hating posts from me. I supported him in about the same manner as I do Obama. Didn't think Bush was a very good POTUS and don't think Obama is either.

Yes, the only way you can have a legimate debate on this issue is to provide proof he hates America. Just because you say so, or his preacher hated America isn't any real evidence backing your opinion

No, it hasn't been that long in the grand scheme. I know many African Americans who were oppressed and treated like second class citizens. It didn't end in 1964

I give the man credit for ordering a kill. I can't say how he feels about America but I will say that this is the first time I remember him making comments and being involved in something where it is America first.

were they oppressed by the government as a matter of policy or were they oppressed by douchebag white people who no more represent all white people than Osama represented all Muslims?

I am a consevative democrat but I truly believe Gore or Kerry would have never been this bad. Republicans always say " if you elect this democrat, wait and see how bad everything gets" It gets no worse than right now. Don't give me the ecomony crap either. Bush is by far the most incompetent president we have ever had. I didnt' say worst. I said incompetent. He has run the most secretive White House ever. He isn't even close to being worthy of his arrogance. Most arrogant leaders are at least competent. Bush isn't. His press conferences are a joke and even worse, terribly embarrassing to himself, his family and most importantly, the country. His reasoning on Iraq has changed too many times all the while he still insist on "staying the course". it is truly an embarrasssment to have had a man like W as president of the United States. Everyone running on both sides of the aisle are more competent than him. Whoever we get in '08, republican or democrat, will be better than who we have had the last 8 years

Concur in posters saying this is first and foremost a victory for the U.S. as one nation that was under attack and has been in a hard-to-define war for a decade, also a victory for humanity and civilized peoples everywhere, and then some small victory for Obama.

Just because I say that Obama will get some credit for it, and just because I think he deserves some credit for it, doesn't mean and is not intended to detract from the victory this is for the US of A.

His response should be very interesting
