I'll ask: The pink elephant in the room.....

If he was going to get the blame (ala Jimmy Carter in the botched Iranian hostage rescue) then he deserves the credit for authorizing the mission. At the risk of sounding cliche it's a win-win and won't hurt his approval rating a bit.

Had two hard core right wingers joke that they were Obama fans for a day. In view of the string of recent tragedies it's about time the US had a break go in their favor.

Obama killed Osama. Say that five times fast.

It's somehow between the B and the S?

Obama is now undefeatable in the next election, he is like Superman now, his only weak point is Palinium!

If Sarah Palin can beat him in the next election, then a mop and bucket posing as a third party ticket should have a solid shot at making history.

Watching the action live at the WH.

Biden kept asking, "which ones are the good guys?"

Obama kept saying; "ya'll made me rush my put on
eighteen for this?"

Notice he is still wearing the same togs that he
wore when he returned from his golf round.

You guys kill me! You can't stand that a Democrat (Obama) achieved a military goal that the Bushies couldn't. (Bill Clinton too, for that matter. A dozen cruise missiles is a pretty good try, but OBL got the heads up and skedaddled!) Be that as it may, Obama sent in 12 Seals and did what thousands couldn't at Tora Bora. By all accounts the President was deeply involved in this since the beginning this past summer. The biggest difference from the past is that the intelligence community had it's poop grouped for once, directly attributable to the national security team in place. That's the President, period.

One of the main frustrations the Left has with BHO is that his military and security policies are virtually unchanged from the Bush administration. Gitmo, Patriot Act etc. He became more aggressive in Afghanistan, as he promised in his campaign. Hate to say it, Righties, but BHO has proven to be a thoughtful, engaged and decisive commander in chief. Time and time again he has shown this by taking advice from his security and making a timely decision.

BTW, Obama did not defeat Bush. That was John McCain.

Also, when Sarah Palin graduates Magna Cum Laude from ANYTHING, or maybe get through 4 years at one institution, or even a 4th Grade geography class I will entertain the notion of her being President. FOR FIVE MINUTES. Maybe.

I totally agree.

I've been pulling for Obama for 2 years to much disappointment. He pushed the button when he had the chance and for that he should be recognized. I was beginning to wonder if he was gonna make 4 years without something positive happening. Glad I was mistaken.

All Barry did was have to say "yes". He didn't do anything else, this moron could not make an important decision if he had too. They used the intel discovered in 2003 or so, where? Gitmo. How? water boarding. All things I am sure you are against just like Barry was when he was running and every other Dem.

you're calling him out for taking a little extra time to decide to send US military into another country (an ally of sorts) to take out the most wanted criminal in the world? It's not like he was deciding what tie to wear

Bush took 7 minutes before getting up and leaving a class room when he was told about the attacks. And he was hammered for that. Barry knows where Bin Laden is and he takes 16 hours to decide if he should allow troops to go kill him? He had to sleep on it? Really? I would need about 16 seconds to make that call.

no one was positive OBL was in that house and this was an operation that had taken 7 years to put together. We can all thank whatever God we want that you would never be in a position to make that call

If I heard correctly, the CIA Dir. made the claim this morning that they felt the intel they had put the % at 60 to 80 that he was in that compound at that time. The way we went about it was difficult enough (rushing in without notifying) then add in the fact that there was a decent chance he may not be in there. Obama made a tough decision that worked out for the good.

and they were waiting for a low moonlight night and cloud cover to clear.

Obama made a bold decision in doing what he did. Taking the shot to kill OBL was a no brainer, how was the bold part.

Hopefully he realizes hes been wrong about alot regarding terrorism and fixes that. He would have to confront his party and politics to do so.

Well said.
Obama did make a very tough decision.

Everything fell together. It was a successful mission.

This was not a win for the right or left. This was a win for the USA.

From what I heard on the news this morning, most of his advisors were against the missson, thought it was too risky. He took a little time to think about it and made the right call... cudos to Obama.

I can't express how much I agree with you and applaud your post. America won on this one. Thank you!:hi:
