I have given him credit for some of the decisions made in this operation but it does nothing to strengthen his appearance on national security.

If Obama had his way a few years prior we would never have had the info to begin with.

Here's the credit I'll give him:

He happened to be in office when we obtained substantially accurate information on the whereabouts of the #1 public enemy. He was informed of the operational status of those capable of conducting a raid prior to them doing what any red blooded American would do. Right place/ right time on both accounts.

He gets the credit for pushing the button when given the chance for that, heres too ya Mr. President.

Past that, the rest of the praise should be given to those that have been hunting (along with those that have died trying) him for years. He needs to drop the "I" talk and put the majority of the credit where it is due. He would come out the better for it.

Keep in mind if the decision were originally in the hands of Barry, Bin Laden would still be alive and Sadam would still be alive and still in power.

Bottom line: the opportunity presented itself after long hard work going back to prior administration. Obama did not decline the chance or worry about fallout for taking some risk.

Silly statetement and impossible to know. One thing you can't argue is that BO got us back into the area we should have been in from the start. I'm sure it's all just coincidence that this happens after increased activity in Afghanistan and actually putting pressure on Pakistan instead of running around Bahgdad. I'm sure we'll hear plenty of accolades heaped upon Pakistani intelligence and military assistance but I believe those jack****s could have given him up anytime. Policy shifted form 'we need your help' to 'we're doing whatever it takes and get out of our way'.
