The QB doesnt need to be Michael Vick but he does need to have the ability to be mobile and extend plays. I do believe that it is critical in this offense. Plus you cant run an RPO offense effectively if you take away the threat of the QB keeping it. That's one less thing the defense has to think about.
what happens when they knock ever loving **** out of your qb and put him the hospital? In the future you will only have two qb's, and one will probably be a lower classman, or frosh. You feel this way because you haven't had an oline since 2007. Get yourself an oline, and it's a different game. You need about a bakers dozen of olinemen.
I somewhat agree with this poster. A running QB (Dobbs, Streeter, Robinson, Schuler, etc.) gives the offense a dimension that the defense has to account. The game has CHANGED.
It’s simple. If you have great talent and depth at every offensive position, you don’t need a mobile QB. If you lack great talent and depth, especially on the line, you better have a QB that can get first downs with his legs.
The packers just DESTROYED the cards game last night. You don't know it because you haven't seen it (too young), but the game is changing again. You're late.
You run with your running backs, that's why running backs are on the field. When you CAN'T run the ball, you revert to trickeration to run the ball, because you have to. What you want is to not HAVE to. You want to impose your will. You want to be able to run the ball. Period.
I wasn't I went back and looked at MaxPreps and he averaged 2 yards per carry, I thought how is this guy rated so high. For some reason throughout his career people have propped him up. I Don't blame him. Never seen QB throw 2 pick 6's in a game and still be trotted back out there.
I'm chuckling at these posters putting Joe Burrow in the same category as these heavy footed statues. Are you looking at stats, again, his aren't bad (remember college takes rushing yards away on sacks), or did you ever watch him actually play at LSU? Oh by the way, he ran a 4.77 at his pro day at 221 lbs.
Tom Brady and Matt Jones both say, "hi" Both have the speed of your usual clubfoot and one is wearing the most recent version of NFL Superbowl ring and the other is wearing the most recent version of NCAA National Champioship ring respectively.
