I'm still seeing the narrative that the NA man was completely innocent and it was bad behavior to mock him. Seriously? He walked up and banged a drum in the kids face. What is so sacred about being an NA that you are free from being mocked when you are being a d!ck? Plus, he's an adult and they're kids. Normally you expect the adults to act like adults.

It's a mix of identity politics and the old soft bigotry of low expectations.

Anyone else notice the contradiction in Phillips own story?

He says he was trying to get in between the two groups.

But then he says the young man from the picture wouldn’t let him pass.

So was he trying to walk through the group of kids of stand in between them and the racists?

I will say this...surprising as it may be. But CNN has actually taken a pretty neutral stance on all this. On their website at least. Most of the articles have been fact based and equal time given to both parties.

I'm kinda shocked.

I noticed that. It’s because he’s FOS. He was out looking for a youtube moment.

It’s why I asked you yesterday if that was really what happened on the video (before I had seen the full video).

My first thought was the kid was defending the Lincoln memorial,.or something. Then I thought he was enjoying the song..

We cant get in their heads, and how much does it matter, honestly?

I think it matters a lot. Had their not been evidence of what actually happened, those kids would have been presumed guilty and lynched by the media.

It shouldn't matter but these kids are experiencing some serious shiz because of the narrative.

I've had several conversations with people who haven't yet let go of their anger about this and it's quite shocking (I was naive) at the level of unintentional hypocrisy and glaring lack of self-awareness.

The incident should have been a nothing story but the aftermath is actually a real story IMHO.

From what I have read online it was actually the black group that was chanting it. But I still haven't heard it in any video I have seen.

The face punching advocate from Tweet fame earlier in this thread is still claiming they were chanting it - same evidence BB has.

What building the wall has to do with Native Americans I'll never know but hey whatever.
