Initial Bracket Thoughts.

With them having a short bench and not having a PG it makes sense for us to use our depth. Just because they can press doesn't mean they can handle it being thrown back at them.

Fair enough. We could always come out playing their up-tempo game, and switch it up if the course of the game dictates it.

Just throwing it out there. We haven't used the press in quite some time so I'm not expecting it but I just like the fact that they have no PG and typically we get beat solely by the opposing PG.

Could be that we lost by 30 in the conference semi's. Things like that may cost u a line or so...

A line? Maybe. But we'd still be a 5 if that were the case.

However, the committee thinks that Tennessee is a 6th seed, and the worst #6 seed at that.

Can you imagine what we'd be seeded if we lost to LSU? We'd be in the 8-9 deathmatch in that case.

like theirs over the last 15-20 years, you're going to get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to tourney seeding.

That's the best example of the Committe making it up as they go. They've been saying a team's last ten isn't weighed more heavily this year, yet they put a team on the 6 line that would have been hard pressed to be a six in the NIT without their stretch run.

At the same time, they gave a bid (and a not-terrible 9 seed at that) to a Wake Forest team that lost 5 of its last 6, three of which were against teams that didn't make the NCAA tournament.

How's that Texas-Wake game for a matchup of flailing teams, btw?

Just an absurd set of brackets. KU screwed. Duke blown. I don't get it.

The Midwest is incredibly talented. They most likely have the best #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, and #6 seeds in the tournament. Kansas should be pissed right now.

Every team in the Midwest should be pissed. It's the best region I recall ever seeing.

I view it as sacrificial lambs to UK

I just can't get over the Midwest. Whoever gets out of that region alive should probably be crowned national champs after that regional final.

Ok, that's a bit of a stretch.
