Anyone have the Otterbox Defender case on their Samsung G3? I love the otterbox on the Iphone and want the same on my G3

sure......I have never had any issues with Otterbox, for Iphone or Droid. Well I take that back, I didnt really like the otterbox for the SG2 because they only had the commuter series for it.

I have a Cruzerlite on my Nexus and love it. Obviously, it doesn't provide the level of protection that an Otterbox Defender does (that's what I had on my Droid X), but it's been plenty good so far - and not bulky like the Defender.

Thanks for the info for everyone.

Since reviewing your comments I have:

deleted all but a couple of widgets.

checked running processes and closed all I know would be safe ti close.

I have been running 4g or wifi all the time.
That may be the big problem.

Question:
I use for business. I use Gmail - 3 accounts-
I have installed the Gmail app.

I need to be notified when I receive email.
Do I need to keep auto sync and data backup open to receivethe notifications?

A couple of "power saving apps" were mentioned. What would be the best one to control what is running?

Again thanks for your help. I'm ok with a cpu, not up to date on smartphones.

I picked up three of these this week for my Nexus. They are buy two get one free on Amazon. I really like them so far.

Oddly, some of the Cruzerlite Nexus cases have a cutout for the volume buttons and others don't. Just a heads up if you prefer one or the other.
