iPhone

I realized earlier tonight that iOS 6 allows for uploading of photos, which means I will be adding it to the mobile skin soon. I think a thread with people uploading random photos from their phone could be fun. Probably.

I like that you can add photos to emails, from the email! That was a huge pet peeve of mine with the phone.

Also, my battery sucks after the update.

I don't notice any battery difference. On another note a bammer from Birmingham just got behind me in line in town visiting his girlfriend.

I got mine its restoring as I speak. The AT&T I went to only had 41 total on the initial shipment.

One thing I don't like about the new map app is you can no longer click an address on a web page and get directions without having to copy and paste. Before when I would google a store it would give me the address, which all I would do is click and it would open the app up and give me directions. Minor inconvenience but still a nuisance.

That's a great idea. Saves me from having to use Photobucket to create an IMG link. Any way you could put a script in that automatically scales down images though? I've noticed pictures that I put on here from my phone are always too big and stretch out the thread.

Maybe apple will create or partner with another search engine to make that easier.

To those who aren't noticing any difference in the battery, consider yourselves lucky. Mine is very noticeable.

Same here. Wonder what's causing it?

When I first got my 4s it had an issue with not charging all the way to 100% no matter how long it sat on the charger. Took it to the apple store and he told me it was because I had a ton of apps running in the background and sent me on my way.

What I don't understand is why he had to plug it in to his computer to diagnose the problem. Or why I haven't had the same problem since, even if I have a ton of apps running in the background.

No clue why that bothered me so much. Guess I felt like he was making an excuse while he corrected an interal phone problem. Put on my tin foil hat.

They have already. They use Tom Tom. It's their own mapping data though as well. They should have labeled this a beta. A lot of negative reviews on the app so far. I think it'll be a lot better by 6.1.

Google has already submitted their standalone Google Maps app for review. I'm looking forward to that. I wonder if they'll adapt it like it is on Android with voice navigation and turn by turn. Google is leagues ahead of Apple when it comes to that. A year from now...maybe not. But right now, yes.

Just to be clear, I didn't get the 5. Kept my 4s, but after the iOS 6 update, my battery is dropping 55% in a little under 4 hours of light usage.

From a purely artistic perspective, the new maps in ios6 are creating some interesting images.

I never understood the point of camping out and waiting for a phone. I'll just wait until they're readily available
