i can only imagine how much that will be. it sucks to have to pay for internet 2, 3, 4 times. one family should have to pay once and thats it.

Well, this weekend I guess I'm gonna go beg and plead with Verizon to give me some kind of deal on the Droid and get rid of this crappy Storm (original,not S2). I've had enough already! I'm sick and tired of leaks,battery pulls,resetting itself,more leaks,and hybrids.Now that I've played with OS 5.0 for a few weeks I'm calling it quits. This thing is to phone OS's what Windows ME was to PC's. I keep waiting for Microsoft Bob to show up on the Storm.

Sorry for the rant,but only a fanboy,or somebody that doesn't have very high expectations from a phone could like this thing.

I had a Storm when they first came out. I used it for 30 days and returned it. I found it very frustrating to use.

1: "PandoraBox" free app basically keeps you informed about new apps ,price-dropped apps,limited time offers on apps, that sort of thing with links to app store built in

2: "Shazam" free app is amazing you start the app and have it listen to any song about 30 secs and it will give you the name of song, artist, album ,and you-tube links ,itunes,amazon etc. works on even obscure songs

3: AroundMe free app uses the built-in gps and finds any of a long list of establishments like banks,atms,restaurants,grocery stores,gas stations,taxis,theaters,etc
It shows where you are and where anything else is on the map. you can drive along and watch your car approaching the target

4: "Pandora" free app is radio with a twist you tell it what you like to hear and it just keeps playing similar artist and genre. like playlists and you can have as many playlists as you wish. They also have website I been using them for years

5: "WildWest" free app (you begin to notice everything free) darn good pinball game pretty addictive

6: "Picsplode" free app amaze your friends take a picture or use any pic from your phone :show them the pic and then shake the phone and the pixles turn to like-sandand vanish.tap the screen and they regroup into pic again

7: "Remote" handy app that allows you to use your phone wireless to control your itunes on your PC you can control volume playlists song selection etc say from the utility room or anywhere within wireless range

8: "Mobilesynth" a pretty decent keyboard synthisizer lots of different controls could be very handy if one is musically inclined.

9: "Fluid" basically like a lava lamp except it is a beautiful stream with pebbles and you can touch the screen or shake and the ripples look real.has soothing effect and music you can use built in scene and music or your own pic and sound

10: "Echofon is in my opinion the best iphone twitter app nuf said. I thought about starting a thread about twitter list who you follow type of thing not sure if it's been done

11: "Backgrounds" an app that finds you background pics for your phone in different categories allowing you to download . Also downloads frames,faces,costumes and funny attire that you can fit your pics into (pretty funny stuff)

12: "iJiggles" like many apps you have to see this to appreciate. You take a pic or choose one from your photo album in phone and then lets say it's an elephant. You can touch any part of the pic like say the trunk and widen ,elongate,curve or distort any way you wish. Next you touch the jiggle button in the app and shake the phone and the part or parts you altered just move accordingly. Many amusing ways to manipulate body parts as you might imagine.You also control many properties of the action size,speed etc

13: "iSteam" another picture manipulation app with a twist. This one has some built-in pics or choose your own. The best demonstration of the app is the mirror pic ; you bring uot the picture and its all steamed over like just white and you touch the screen and swipe a little you hear this sqeaking sound and just like a fogged up mirror you can see where you wipe . There is also little driplets of water that run down from where you swipe and the driplets will go with gravity like turn the phone and drips always go down.
Eventually you can wipe the whole screen clean and then blow or breath on the screen to fog it all up again. Amazing really though I'm easily amused as you might imagine.

14: A few I initially left off the list overlooked really : "Factbook" one of the few apps I actually paid for I think $2 . This app is The world factbook and has everything you can think of about every country in the world. I mean population, economy,religion,education
,currancy,conflicts,geography,disputes,illegal activity,boundary disputes.Also has built-in map and flags . Very handy informative appwell woth paying for.

I don't play a lot of games on phone (PC gamer) but there are many good games I've tried and kept a few "Stonesloops of Jurassica" is a great game for iphone and is very similar to the PC game ZUMA. (By the way IMHO zuma is the best ever mindless reflex point and click PC game of all time)

Most all the rest on the list are self-explan then add white-pages,yellow-pages,and google-earth to the list. There are seemingly endless apps out there and they are very easy to download and try. If you don't like or want to keep them then they are even more easily deleted from the phone. I like to think of the Iphone as a working man's Blackberry. They are really more about being entertainment . I have an Iphone 3G 16 gig with 900 songs,maybe 500 pics, and several movies on it . I also use it like I am now at work tethered to my laptop. Hehehe Hillbilly Blackberry.
