Good so far. In a way it's like learning a new OS. Directions aren't always the clearest when adding something new. I'm moving slow so I don't screw anything up too bad.![]()
Charter now supports the WatchESPN app. It looked like a few providers were added.
A lot of packages do multiple things that other packages do individually. CC has suggested several good ones but I would google "best jailbreak tweaks" and see what's out there for yourself.
Something I noticed since evasion is there are a lot of packages that are incompatible with iOS6. Sometimes you get a warning and it won't let you install it and other times it will but puts you in safe mode. Just be sure to read the descriptions.
I use Zedge on my Android for ringtones and text tones. Anything like that in Cydia?
I'm wondering if I installed the wrong thing. The only "weather widget" in my notification center is the default one and the only option there is "on".
It also looks like it installed winterboard, which I have no idea how to use.
Pretty much a rule of thumb when you download something is if you download something & it tells you to restart springboard then it's in your settings app, created an app, or it just takes effect with no settings to be made. If it says return to cydia then it usually has to be installed with Winterboard. Zeppellin icons may be only exception they go to zeppelin in settings. Placing things higher on the list in Winterboard will override whatever is checked below it if they conflict. It also allows you to use different icons & such with any theme you may use.
Any other suggestions that aren't mentioned in this thread?
I found Auxo, which seems to be pretty well received.
Mewseek is a neat music downloader. It's not something I would use all the time but it works well with the Pandora downloader mentioned earlier in the thread. It will import the music over to your iTunes app.
iFile is a good one to have if you want to get behind the scenes. It works like Finder on Mac if you are familiar with that.
IAPFree let's you do some in app purchases for free as long as they aren't server based. For instance, you can buy coins in Temple Run but you can't buy magazines in newsstand.
