Mine has been fine. Buy my wife's has done the same thing as yours, niner. Also, some of her apps will just close unexpectedly at times. If it keeps it up much longer, we're going to head to the Apple Store (closest one is two hours away) and swap it.

Just call and they will ship you a new one with a prepaid package to ship the old one back.

Had to do it to an iPad once.

As in, re-download all the apps, songs, etc? I know I wouldn't have to pay for them again but, good grief, what a pain that would be.

By the way, the new jailbreak is out. govols/cc, I know you're usually on the cutting edge with them. I installed it using the instructions here: How to jailbreak iOS 8.1 with Pangu 1.0.1 [video]

The Pangu page is in Chinese, but you can translate it with Google Chrome...at least well enough to know which button to click to download. Also, the actual jailbreak tool is in Chinese so, if you do it, pay special attention in the instructions at the URL above to uncheck the box before clicking the blue button.

I've only had it for about an hour, but no trouble so far. I've installed Zeppelin and Zeppelin's reqests, and the tweak for unlimited skips on Pandora. I know, though, that a lot of the tweaks aren't going to be iOS 8 compatible for a few weeks/months.

Its always better to set up as new. Yes you have to do everything manually (contacts, notes, bookmarks sync when you sign in on new device automatically) but it works out better if you run into issues because that's the first thing they're gonna tell you to do.

I still have my 5S jailbroken on iOS 7. I been holding out on AT&T to get some 64gb's in but it's taking forever. Was holding out for them because I'm swapping an upgrade but I'm going by Apple store tomorrow because I'm betting they can do it & as of now have 64gb in stock.

Yeah, my wife and I both pre-ordered the 64GB 6. We got them a lot faster than I expected.

I wasn't sure which one I wanted & figured the 6 would be pretty easy to snag. I was wrong. At least thinking AT&T would have regular inventory. Seems Target, Best Buy, & Apple store get regular shipments but carriers can't get s***.

I haven't seen a 64gb i6 since launch day. Its about a 3 week wait time if you direct fulfil one here at AT&T.

Yea all they get in is the 16s, everywhere else gets everything. Like I said as long as Apple store doesn't run out I'll be there around time they open tomorrow.

Question, Do you work at AT&T corporate store? If so is it just as seamless for Apple store to do an upgrade swap?

What kind of upgrade are you doing? 2yr or Next program?

I've heard that Apple has had some problems for customers doing the Next program. I would call the store first make sure they have the phone and can do the upgrade you want to do.

I'm pretty sure they can but I was gonna call about an hour or so before they close. That'll give me a better idea on actual inventory as well.

I'm not 100% sure, but I really do think the Verizon iPhone 5s were unlocked from the get go. Others (ex. ATT) did not come unlocked and have to go through the carrier unlock process.

You should be correct. I'm using Nokia windows8 phone. International capable. Any Verizon phone that is international capable is already unlocked with Verizon.

I've gotten used double tap the home button to drop the content in beret thumb range. It's second nature now.

I hear you, it's just not second nature to me yet...but I'm getting there.

You should get movie box on Cydia if you haven't yet assuming it's compatible.

My wife got the gold and I'm not a big fan of it. The stripe along the top and bottom of the back is a lighter color than the rest of the phone. I got the black/slate and am pretty pleased with the look, but I've always liked the silver/white.

I only really notice it when there is a small button in the top corner (left or right depending on which hand Im using) or when I want to tap the address bar in safari to return to the top of the page (mostly when VN).

Agreed...the little close (x) buttons that are tucked way up in the corner are the annoying ones!

After having the 6 for a few days I really like it. The size combined with the thin design seems about perfect. Battery is good. Some messaging improvements but still not as good as bitesms. I never understand why they won't just let you delete synced pics & vids.
