I'm finally eligible for an upgrade, so now I guess it's just a waiting game until the Apple Store actually gets iphone 6's in stock. I'd really prefer to get a 5s, but it appears the 64GB model has been discontinued, so I guess my hands are tied. My 32GB just won't cut it anymore. I still haven't even upgraded to IOS 8 yet because I don't have the almost 5 GB of free space needed to update.

The Apple Store doesn't have 6's in stock? That surprises me.

According to their website, they don't have any black AT&T ones, and neither do the 20 other stores closest to me. Maybe I'll stop by on my way home from work and see if I can get some info.

Order from AT&T, let them ship it, you will have in a couple of days.

I really think you'll like the 6 if you're an iphone guy. Apart from a few bugs still in ios8, which will likely be resolved soon, it's a solid experience.

It's just the damn size that I know I'm not going to like as much as I like my current iphone 5. Otherwise, I'd be all in on wanting one. I can see how giant phones like this appeal to women who can just put them in their purse, but when you've got to carry it in your pocket it's more of a problem. Plus, the days of being able to operate the phone with one hand will be gone. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually though.

I really don't think you'll have an issue carrying the 6 in your pocket (unless you wear really small skinny jeans :)). I realize it's a step up for you, but it's one of the smallest new phones on the market.

My iPad was repeatedly crashing to the Apple logo do I bought Apple Care one day short of the first year warranty then called in a claim a week later and got it replaced.

Anyone else having a problem with their phone switching to landscape and getting stuck until you close the app in the multitasking screen?

Is really starting to get on my nerves.

This is happening to me too. I also use the Mint app for personal finance, and it has the option for fingerprint security. If you don't use your fingerprint, it will sometimes freeze in a blank grey screen and I have to shut the whole phone down. Lots of little bugs that are getting annoying.

Does the carrier really matter anymore?

I was able to switch my Iphone 5 and my wife's 5c from Verzion to AT&T and back again with nothing more than a sim card change.

I'm not 100% sure, but I really do think the Verizon iPhone 5s were unlocked from the get go. Others (ex. ATT) did not come unlocked and have to go through the carrier unlock process.

So my mother has an iPhone 4 and wants to upgrade to an iPhone 5. Any ideas where she can get the "most" for her iPhone 4? Retailer like best buy or just AT&T?
