Iran

So now it looks like the official word from the State department is that no Americans were killed and the embassy wasn't attacked.

Now, does this change the negotiations in Vienna with regards to the nuclear deal? The Iranians walked out earlier this week. Do these talks continue on?

No. We shouldn’t even be talking to them without Iran bringing their mullahs heads to the bargaining table.

Media standards and ethics are important? How do you make it happen and enforce it?
Realistically, there is not a good answer to that. I think govt will always step in to control the media regardless. Coming up with a licensing system will not solve the problem because it will be the govt issuing the licenses. Passing some piece of legislation will not do it because the govt is the one enforcing the laws.

You said that the main source of funding for these Islamic extremists is whom?

It's Saudi Arabia and its network of charities and the like. The argument I make is that there is an undercurrent of terror and fanaticism that go hand in hand in the Afghanistan-Pakistan arc, and extend all the way to Uzbekistan. And you can see reflections of it in Bosnia, in Kosovo, in Indonesia, in the Philippines.

For instance, in one madrassa in Pakistan, I interviewed 70 Malaysian and Thai students who are being educated side by side with students who went on to the Afghan war and the like. These people return to their countries, and then we see the results in a short while. ... At best, they become hot-headed preachers in mosques that encourage fighting Christians in Nigeria or in Indonesia. And in a worst case, they actually recruit or participate in terror acts.

What you're saying is that, if we wanted to look for the causes of what's happened -- Al Qaeda and the movement worldwide -- we would have to look to the schools, to the educational system which Saudi Arabia has fostered in the Islamic world?

... In order to have terrorists, in order to have supporters for terrorists, in order to have people who are willing to interpret religion in violent ways, in order to have people who are willing to legitimate crashing yourself into a building and killing 5,000 innocent people, you need particular interpretations of Islam.

Those interpretations of Islam are being propagated out of schools that receive organizational and financial funding from Saudi Arabia. In fact, I would push it further: that these schools would not have existed without Saudi funding. They would not have proliferated across Pakistan and India and Afghanistan without Saudi funding. They would not have had the kind of prowess that they have without Saudi funding, and they would not have trained as many people without Saudi funding.

I don’t think you do it by laws nor should it come from the government. The best solution is for consumers to not watch or read the products they put out if they are sensationalized. Viewers/readers equal advertising dollars. That’s how they make their money. If the media believes showing outrageous stories, whether biased to the left or right, will bring in the most viewers, that’s what they will do. If people stop consuming their product, they lose money. Getting in someone’s pockets is the quickest way to make them change, not by force or by laws.

That was going to be my answer last night when he asked that, but then I came to the realization that there really is no solution because the govt would just prop up these failing media companies or if one fails, they'll just move on to another if they are desperate enough to push an agenda.

I thought you were going to give a motive. Why would I be doing all of this "water carrying"?
We’ve pondered your motive here no idea why you do it. But you do it. Take a look at this missile strike. You get the water carrying bat signal and run to the job! 🤡

I haven't really made a comment one way or the other on that missile strike because it is still a bit of confusion about who and what was hit. The only thing I did say is that it may have something to do with an Israeli strike in Damascus last week.

And I've told you and others countless times. The enemy of my enemy is my friend/desperate times call for desperate measures. Anybody that is fighting against these western globalists and their nihilistic system is an ally of convenience for the moment. Not just Americans, but humanity as a whole, would be better off if these people in The West are defeated by any means necessary.

I just cant help think this is all part of a nefarious plan to weaken America. I go back to Obama’s apology tour and his preacher saying “damn America” and firmly believe that there are people in our government that want to ruin this country so they can usher in a new system.

And I think Ras has a valid point about bringing Iranian oil onto the market with this nuclear deal. Russia and Iran will be able to sway countries away from the dollar backed system, and maybe that’s what people like Biden are hoping for. I have a hard time believing they aren’t aware of that situation.
BHO said he would fundamentally change America. He's not finished with his plan.

I think that is an unintended consequence of this nuke deal with Iran, not part of their plans. They are not realizing that they are weakening the dollar with these moves, not protecting it. The USD is their major weapon of choice. Once these countries begin to realize that they don't have to trade in USD, then its game over.
