Regarding the above link, somehow I can't presently link the specific article but it is 'hamas hearts osama', there are several other articles worth reading there and it is one of the better blogs on the internet.


Regarding the death of bin Laden, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh can’t keep his mouth shut. From Reuters:

“We ask God to offer him [OBL] mercy with the true believers and the martyrs,” Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas administration in the Gaza Strip, told reporters. … Haniyeh accused the United States of pursuing a policy based on “oppression and the shedding of Arab and Muslim blood.”

“We condemn the assassination and the killing of an Arab holy warrior,” he said.

I'm in a heated game of 'Words With Friends' with my Islamic friend but I wouldn't say I'm at war with her.

I've got a hard time even figuring how one can be "at war" with a religion. Even if one were to accept the premise that violent thoughts and actions would seem to be , IDK, "disproportionatley prevalent" in Islam I still don't know how you would declare war on the entire belief system.

But we are at war with pathetic and weak-minded paranoid efforts by the foil hat crowd to try to manipulate us into thinking we are.

See: The Crusades. A nation cannot be at war with a religion, only other nations. Likewise for religion can only be at war with another religion. We can, however, be at war with a nation that claims a national religion. We just happen to be at war with a group of people of the same religion, coincidentally.

it's funny how you libs always talk about the Cruisades and how Christian looked to kill the muslims. however, you guys only talk about part of that history. you guys bring up the cruisades to somehow justify the muslims hatred for us.

1) Not all Muslims feel the same way about anything.

2) Not all Muslims "hate" us.

3) Not all Muslims would agree on who "us" is.

4) The irony is you indict an entire religion of over a billion people for what you say is their universal mischaracterization of "us" as a single entity.

somewhere around 80% of them in the middle east at the very least don't like us. let's not act like hatred of the US isn't widespread.

When your indoctrinated to not like someone from a very early age, it's typically not something you tend to change your mind of easily. That being said, I don't think it's a region we should waste of whole lot of time convincing otherwise, because even with the kind heartedness of most of our soldiers over there, they still don't get it.

There are simpletons in this world that will never change their mind regardless of how much factual data or common sense points you put in front of them.

My God, I know some Muslims that represent America better than some of our posters
