I've watched CFB for 10 years, and I take Vince Young over and over again. Cam is great, but... I saw Vince go for 467 total yards against the "Greatest Team EVER." Best performance I ever saw (along with Bron's 25 straight). I gotta go with Vince.

By the way, I'm takin Cam over Tebow. What was Tebow's longest run? 25 yards max? Cam gets those in his sleep.

I hate to give the devil his due, but Newton is the best cfb player I've seen in a long, long time. Maybe even in my lifetime.

Tim Tebow was a leader and played at a high level for 4 years. Newton has had one great season. Tebow helped Florida win 2 National Titles. Newton has yet to do that (but he might win one with AU this year).

Tebow > Newton from a career perspective.

Perhaps our question should be this:

Who is the better Auburn legend? Bo Jackson or Cam Newton?

Cam by far. Tebow did it with all of that talent around him. Cam has done it largely by himself.

For a single season, Cam Newton was the better player. Tebow's best season individually resulted in UF losing 4 games.

For an entire career, Tebow gets the nod. Two national titles, and Newton wasn't good enough to get Tebow off the field in '07 or '08.

I was wrong about Newton....no way in hell did I expect him to dominate like he did this season. We'll be talking about his performance in the Bama game for the next 50 years.

I'm 34, so yes I do remember Herschel. When I consider the team around him, and when Cam comes in and just dominates and there's no answer for him, then I put him above Herschel.
