Is Huepel bad at recruiting?

For sure, but considering the mass exodus of players after the Pruitt fiasco I’d say that’s not unexpected. Wouldn’t you? Wasn’t it like 37 players or something crazy?
You're arguing with a wave of irrational impatience personified. It's quite amazing that so many people have forgotten the state of the program that Heupel took over, and the expected rebuild timeline. There are very few rational thoughts offered, but lots of frustration leaks.

I wish we had a couple more proven (in recruiting) position coaches. I know heupel promotes from within but I feel like we’re missing that polarizing recruiter (excluding RG)

Is he as good as he was 25 years ago? I kinda always heard his forte back in his prime was getting in good with the mommas. Not sure how well that works when you got a big belly and the problems that many dudes develop once they pass the half-century of living mark.

I expect we will be in the top 25% of the conference with consistency based on the caliber he recruits and his scheme but this will not be a championship team under Heupel unless he finds a way to recruit like Alabama, Georgia and Texas. Recruiting top 15 classes nationally may sound good but when you are in the SEC, it means you are middle of the pack…

He's not going to ultimately make it here, or get over the "average" hump, with any more efforts like this year's class. He & his staff have absolutely BOMBED recruiting since the season has started. They have lost every major recruiting battle they've been in for months now. It's unacceptable & a major red flag. This caliber of class simply isn't good enough to get it done.

No
CJH is battling for kids that have never seen Tennessee be good or be the cool school
Winning cures all
Make the playoffs next year and that will go along way
Consistency is key
Playoffs? Lol, stop. That's MAYBE an 8 win team next year, most likely seven. This roster isn't very talented, & it's losing its best players. This staff sits on their god da*n hands instead of hitting the portal hard to find any true difference makers, so don't expect any immediate transfusion of talent. Our HC is too busy stuffing his face at the Gibbs Hall buffet three times a day to recruit, anyways..

Everyone calm your tits. Transfer portal is a thing too

70% blue chip ratio

We had one double digit win in over a decade. These are the types of classes Clemson had before becoming a powerhouse
Yeah, since this staff has recruited the portal SO well the last couple years, lol.. Give me a break. We'll sign 2-3 average starters, & a few depth pieces, rinse and repeat.

Yet his classes are getting better each year here. Just stop the nonsense. This is a lot of the reason some recruits go elsewhere. Fan negativity
No, they're not. This year's class will be significantly lower than last year's class. We're at #14, & sure to drop more once other schools add a few more behind us. We swung & missed with literally every remaining blue chip prospect left the last 3 months. We're now recruiting kids that are barely 3 *'s, & just recently received an offer from us. Been a bad year for the staff. Major regression in every way..

You clearly don’t understand how this all works
