I mean I would like to see him stay on his feet when he makes a catch. Pull down some more balls that are thrown his way but I don’t know that he’s any more inconsistent than any other WR we have now. His speed makes him someone the defense must always account for.Should we begin to phase out Squirrel. He cannot catch a pass without falling to the ground, and that punt return Saturday, where he was running 15 yards behind him to diving catch that punt, gave me heartburn I still can’t get rid of. I really like Squirrel, but if he fumbled that ball there and they scored, the game may have played out different. I just think he’s a liability at this point. Everyone flame away, it’s just how I see it right now.
Squirrel is 22nd based on average per catch, Bru is head of him at 15th. Dont'e would been 1st but you must have 2 receptions per game to qualifyWhite is currently ranked #44 in the SEC averaging 30.3 yards per game.

He played very well; last year, but seems to be having some rough moments on the field so far this year. In fact, the WR seem to haveing problems in getting separation against OK. I thought, with the WRs being covered, the TEs would have a field day. However, that didn’t happen. Hopefully the off week will provide an opportunity to fix some of those problems.Squirrel was our leading receiver last year. This year we have more options so he has been targeted less. That simple. He’s going to have some big catches in some big games this year and then this whole thread will look stupid.
Yessir! You have to assess the games.
Played a lot of different people versus Kent and UTC. Starters did very little in those games.
NC State was a game where the plan was to attack their defense with TEs and RBs. NC State remained in deep coverages taking the pass game out of play to the wideouts. So Heupel attacked with running backs and tight ends. Won the game going away.
Oklahoma game was won on defense and wasn't necessary to risk Nico with Oklahoma's fierce defensive front. Won the game easily by pulling offense back and letting the D control the game. Again wasn't necessary to attack down the field after getting the 16 point lead.
When in 12 (Two tight end alignments) the slot receiver (White) is on the sideline most of the time. As long as defenses allow the running game and tight ends to make plays, wideouts are going to have less opportunities.
