Because they dont like gay people?Iraq intelligence, and I would have thrown him at the middle east to watch them squirm.
I have to commend him on trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes by taking a government Suburban gas hog to within a couple of blocks to work and then getting out and riding a bicycle the rest of the way in order to promote him being a green gay guy. The guy is a joke.I’m just a grunt, but from where i sit he doesn’t look very intelligent. With as silent as he’s been, are you sure he wasn’t in covert ops?

And it was Afghanistan....
And both Afghanistan and Iraq are the Middle East.
And considering the present state of Afghanistan it doesnt seem like Pete did all that special of a job. Not saying he was bad, just nothing as special as you want him to be.
@zeppelin128 you give up your top spot of the VN Pete Gang?
He has pretty much torpedoed any further political career at the federal level due to his own demonstrated incompetence. Maybe he had some eligibility left as mayor of South BendYep.
My real critique is that at least his public appearances show him focused on tangental issues such as this (with no concrete (pun) solutions) instead of speaking primarily about the most important issues under his purview. It's why his leadership is questioned - that and being visibly absent when transportation related incidents are in full swing. What gets talked about sends a message of what the priorities are.
The question for me is does he believe this is a high level priority issue to address or is it just pandering to the base.

You’re likely not wrong if he’s the anointed one by the DNC however he should get his ass ran off the field in the general by any half qualified opponent. He’s got a record to speak to now. And it’s uglyI wouldn't be so sure about that. If the DNC decides he's their candidate he'll get the nomination and millions of voters will line up to cast their vote for him no matter who his opponent is.
