Is The 1/6 Commission Coming?

I haven't done the research but I suspect several FBI informants have been murdered through the years, especially in mob investigations. So no I don't think the FBI is squeamish in the least about putting civillian informants in harms way.
... when they are already a trusted member of the group.

Sammy "The Bull" Gravano was a very famous FBI informant and a private citizen who wore wires and gathered evidence against John Gotti. However, Sammy "The Bull" was a top lieutenant of Gotti's inside the Gambino Crime Family. He wasn't just someone the FBI tapped from off the street. We aren't talking about the same thing at all.

I will go as far as saying the FBI would employed a homeless person, "just off the street". I think I remember agents working with a homeless man in Houston, you know, "just off the streets" as you change the criteria for "Citizen".

What's the difference?
Sammy The Bull was already in harm's way, by his own choosing. It's not the same thing ... and by the way, there is not one shred of evidence that Ray Epps was an FBI informant. Not a single shred. This is stupid.

Just because right wing cultists want it to be true ... doesn't automatically make it true.

I have no idea if Epps was working for the FBI or not and that is immaterial to what I've been saying. It's naive to think the FBI wouldn't put a civilian informant in harms way to get information or whatever else they wanted.

I have no idea why your bringing mobsters into this.

I assume since your a high a mighty liberal lefty genius you know that a conviction is different then a charge...and a conviction come after due process off a trial... the man who was convicted a a few months ago had due process...Epps wasn't CHARGED till 2 years after he committed his crime on video...can you see a difference or still no???? Also the FBI has admitted to informants during J6 as a reason they cant release 10k hours per Wray...

Not unless it was someone already in harm's way.

And Ray Epps donated money to the Trump Campaign in both 2016 and 2020 ... everything points to him being as much a MAGA believer as there was at the Capitol. It's a stupid claim.

Not like what you are ignorantly accusing Epps of.

Epps was a member of the oath keepers and on the FBI's most wanted list before Jan 6.

Ray Epps was a member of the Oath Keepers, but he was not on the FBI's Most Wanted list before January 6, 2021. As a matter of fact, Ray Epps was never on the FBI's Most Wanted list. Epps was on a list of people who the FBI was seeking information from AFTER the riot. When Epps saw himself on the list, by both his account and the government's, he reached out to the FBI and spoke with interrogators. His photo was subsequently removed from the page, after it was determined that he had not broken any laws.

Newsweek has covered this story thoroughly from the beginning. It really does highlight the Republican eagerness to lie and scapegoat.

That article says the fbi had an informant affiliated with the proud boys. I've only seen references to Epps being affiliated with the oath keepers. Maybe I'm missing something.

I'm having trouble finding anything that says he was on the fbi's most wanted list.
He wasn't.

Epps was on a list of people who the FBI wanted to speak to AFTER the riot. Epps reached out to the FBI, and after being interviewed, his name and photo were removed from the site.

It sounds like it was the list related to Jan6 and he was removed from it 6 months later. Hopefully he will be charged.

Epps’ image was at one point included on the FBI Capitol Violence most wanted list, a website that seeks the public's help in identifying people involved in the riot. Because the FBI removed the image from the website sometime in July, Revolver claims this indicates that the government is attempting to erase Epps’ name from the riot.

But it could also merely confirm that the FBI is no longer seeking help in locating him. Other explanations for its removal include the possibility that Epps may have already been interviewed by investigators.

"Ray Epps is a free man. He has never been arrested or charged," the Revolver story also states. "Nearly 10 months after January 6, the FBI and Justice Department still refuse to comment on whether Epps has ever been served a search warrant."

Epps never appears to have entered the Capitol or engaged in violence as many of the more than 600 others facing charges did. The investigation is ongoing.

----------

After Jan. 6, when the FBI posted photos of protesters seeking information, Epps was one of the people pictured. Shortly thereafter, his photo was taken down. Hundreds of people were arrested, but Epps wasn't, and when the Senate Judiciary Committee questioned FBI leadership about Epps, they declined to answer.

Epps is charged for inciting...I believe it took them so long to bring charges because he is a paid informant..and by your genius standards being a member of the oath keepers would be in line with the FBIs history....now leave your cult mindset and think for yourself instead in regurgitating Racheal Maddow and CNN

There is no evidence that he is a paid informant ... and when one of you starts using the word cult, it is obvious projection.

Trump indicted on charges out of Special Counsel probe into Jan. 6

This is the second federal indictment Trump faces out of Special Counsel Jack Smith's investigation

FIRST ON FOX: Former President Trump was indicted Tuesday on charges stemming from Special Counsel Jack Smith's investigation into the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021, Fox News Digital has learned.

And just because you haven’t seen evidence doesn’t absolve Epps. People like you don’t want to think anything else but Trump caused Jan 6th. Even though that’s blatantly false.
