In other words its obvious to most of us that Pearl is a guy who needs no defense, is doing a remarkable job, and 99.9% of coaches out there couldnt do it any better.

Pearl can't "coach" though. He's a recruiter and a salesman. Big difference.

Can't coach? Are you kidding me? There may be better coaches but to say he can't coach is rediculous. Look at is record at Tennessee without a single first round draft pick in the NBA draft yet. He has not been doing it by strictly out talenting our opposition. We even used 6'4 D Bradshaw at PF to win games when he first got at Tennessee.

I think the hang up over the expectations is that we're paying Pearl an Elite 8/Final 4 type money and only getting sweet 16 results. And some believe we're paying the wrong guy for those type of results.

I cant think of any reason why we should pay someone else the same amount for the results we are getting.

I know that Bruce has slept with several prominent season ticket holders' wives in the recent years, so they have an excuse... but many of the other Pearl haters baffle me.
