Is the world better off with the nation of Israel?

I have no thoughts about this relating to our conversation. Maybe you can explain how it ties in to the points we're discussing. This is where I need help keeping up.

They come to die. The martyrdom is good for the cause.

Both sides win in this regard.

It’s really quite sad.
And this whole time the Palestinian landlords are selling their property to Jews. Israel will continue to grow while Palestinians territory shrinks and the poor people being lied to by their leadership will continue to die.

Sad

The quip about negating their right to assemble?

Yes.

I think there is some confusion here.

I post an article with facts and figures (that can be debated) and I offered no opinion. Immediately, apologists jump in and start absolving the side they are biased towards. I mocked them for not disappointing. That's the closest thing I've done to offer an opinion.

I'm not trying to paint Israel as the bad guy. I'm not trying to pick a side. I'm pointing out something that happened. That's it.

I’m actually shocked more people haven’t been killed. And I’ll point the blame squarely at the protest organizers in this case. They knew what the outcome would be.

Also this is a pretty big deal for whatever “Palestine” is today. Israel controls Jerusalem and the largest western country just recognized it as their capital. We’re the first domino to fall but I’ll put money on the table others follow suit. And the Palestinians know it.

About the only piece of land they’ll have left to “claim” will be the Gaza Strip. If Iran keeps their attacks up in the Golan Heights then Israel will just use that to reconcile control over that region.

Gotcha.

To your point, if anybody believes what the IDF is saying to Media I got a bridge I'd like to sell you.

Organizer's need the death to galvanize the future protesters. The least Hamas could do is give them weapons to defend themselves fully instead of sending them out there to throw rocks.

Maybe you could make it easier on a brother and provide which of the quotes you're talking about.

They passed out leaflets? I guess people don't have a right to assemble, then. :)

In Israel? I wouldn't doubt they do not have the right to assemble there. The U.S. Constitution only applies to the U.S. and its territories.

The Times of Israel reports: Jerusalem’s largest soccer club announced Sunday that it has changed its name to “Beitar Trump Jerusalem,” in honor of the US president’s recognition of Israel’s capital and moving his country’s embassy from Tel Aviv.

Except you did pick a side. Even if it was only for the sake of argument, you picked a side.

My personal opinion, if it was truly a "peaceful" protest, why encroach on the wall, gates, border, or whatever? Why cheer when someone decides to take it beyond peaceful? If your goal is a peaceful protest, why do you defend those who go against your goal and bring violence to it? Sounds more like a group trying to create a narrative for the media, and of course the media eats it up. I'd be far more impressed if they had actually had a peaceful protest and policed the more exuberant themselves. Absolutely would have made me more sympathetic to their cause.

It’s a symbolic loss for the Palestinians. The rest of the western world decided to keep kicking this can down the road. What we don’t hear brought up much was a law was passed in the US in 1995 mandating the US move it’s embassy to Jerusalem. Trump was the first POTUS to address that squarely. And the Palestinians know it.
Their leadership does, but the rock throwing, tire burning masses have not a clue. They just know hate. Sooooo, the proxy war against Israel and the US continues, and the rest of the arab world squeals in delight.

Contradicted some of the things the IDF claimed. Thought the article was one sided. How many more decades before what happened 70 years ago is no longer valid?

I thought the article was rather one-sided myself. In no way do I think Israel is innocent in all of this, but neither are the Palestinians. Plenty of blame to go around. Honestly, I don't believe either side when they say they want peace.

I'm with you. Strife, fear, and conflict is good for business if politics is the business.

Show me where I picked a side.

I think it is quite obvious that there is a God. The Bible has stated many times that Israel and the Jews would be a stone in the shoe of the world.

It is quite accurate to say that Israel is a stone in the World's Shoe. A country that is as small as it is, that has very few citizens compared to most countries get, it is so hated by so many countries.

The world has attempted to wipe out Israel Over and Over yet they have survived and they continue to grow and prosper. They are Prime proof that God is real. There is no other explanation why Jews and Israel is so despised throughout the world
