Is the world better off with the nation of Israel?

Lets just frame this entire argument where it belongs. Arabs are trying to kill Christian people. Arabs are trying to kill Jews. So Jews and Christians can either sit by and let themselves be killed or they can fight back.
What would you choose if you were on one side or the other?

That's such a black and white myopic view. If you look at everything in some biblical good vs evil aspect, you will never get in touch with reality. As I stated previously, christian palestinians were displaced by israelis. Kind of throws a wrench in your idea that it's just muslims vs jews and christians. Perhaps it's best not to speak on issues of which your understanding is severely lacking, or otherwise influenced by propaganda.

I know families, christian palestinian families, that were displaced due to israeli encroachment. Families that had nothing to do with extremist palestinians or hamas or any type of resistance. Still, they lost their property. Can't we begin to look beyond the dogma and see that what is happening to these people is not just?

Of course not! That would require some degree of cogent, granular thought and these knuckledraggers will have none of that.

I see you just ignored the previous posts in this thread.

I don't think Israel has any desire to colonize the middle East for the simple reason that they don't want to bring in any more Arab subjects than they already have. But the more conservative/religious parts of the population want the West Bank, or what they call Judea and Samaria, because those were historically Jewish held.

The old city will soon pass into the control of Israel as well. Palestinians can complain about it but they keep selling property to the Israelites. Once the majority of the property is owned by Israel,,,,,,,,

But once again it’s not our business.

And those “people” tried to flee to thier country of origin. They were locked out by their own people ....and suddenly there are Palestiaians. They have a choice to assimilate or not. I’ve been there. Those who assimilated are actually doing well.

Was Europe late 30s/early 40s any of our business? Turning away the St. Louis the right thing to do?

Selling of their property? I don’t think this is the problem...

The problem is that almost a million Jews are living outside of their national boundaries, in settlements unanimously deemed illegal by UN charter 242...which Israel ignores. This is not about Palestinians selling their land off...this is about theft of Palestinian land by Israel.

Arabs already live in Israel and would continue. If your “separate state” is funded by known terror groups then it needs to go.

So, they have no right to exist because they oppose Israel? And their illegal occupations of Palestinian land? Their atrocities against Palestinians?

Again, the people of Crimea wanted to be apart of Russia because they are Russian..

Russia didn’t annex the Crimea over the will of its inhabitants...

That is the difference.

sure, my church works with some of those people over there.

Two wrongs don't make a right. and I would find it dishonest to say I am bothered by what happens to the Christians but not the non-Christians. There are jewish families afflicted with violence they are not a part of it either.

oh yeah I am sure the native Tartars welcomed back the government that wiped them off the face of the planet.....
oh wait.

Russians aren't natives to Crimea. They have been there even less than Europeans have been in the Americas.

What's the argument here? That allowing a demilitarized Palestinian state will kill Jewish families?
no real argument. pointing out how yours isn't as fully thought out as you think.

might makes right. We aren't stepping up across the globe to protect the "native" cultures/peoples, and are guilty of it ourselves, because at some point it is accepted.

We just don't like watching history play out in front of us because it makes us aware of the the atrocities of all our ancestors.

placing the blame on the jews is just as bad as placing the blame on the Palestinians.

Amazing what people will vote for with a barrel of a gun in their back.
