I don't think you're being a pumper and I'm not trying to be a nega, I'd love for them to come out focused on Saturday. I enjoy your posts. I'm serious about my concerns, but I'm also venting, I've lived in Georgia for 25 years and I've had to do it on here not anywhere else.

I don’t know why you just don’t implement a no social media posting policy while in season. These guys aren’t going to make the best decisions at their age so why not just help them out a bit by cutting off their ability to educate the masses on their daily doings. Nothing good can come of them posting on social media during the season.

He is old enough to drink, buy a handgun, and fixing to have a full time job away from football. Under no circumstance is that considered a child and he is a member of the technology generation who is perpetually offended yet can't conceive how his joke would be taken. He knew exactly what he was doing. Adults do stupid things all the time but that doesn't mean that you are free from the consequences.

If you say so. The fact that college "kids" are considered kids somehow is a big part of the reason so many act like it.

People can actually mature quite fast. But they will rarely do it unless they have to. We have collectively decided you don't need to grow up until you are about 30. Absolutely insane, but that's how it is.

A 21 year old has enough life experience to know how to act.

Run him to death etc, etc but kicking off the team? Come on lol. Not talking about you, but many on here thought BT didn't nothing really at all and he didn't hit his girlfriend but said awful things to her and shouldn't be kicked off the team and that it was just word.........but retweet a funny meme about our loss on Saturday and same people want that kid kicked out on the street.

Fans aren't players, it's a pretty easy distinction. If he were embarrassed he wouldn't be on social media in the first place the day after a loss, and if so has he tweeted that he was embarrassed by the loss considering most tweet about everything in life. A fan has a right to joke, it's all we have left. Other than the uniform color and past players, what exactly is a UT fan supposed to tweet about? The games aren't free. Many fans spend hundreds of dollars just to attend one game and expecting a halfway decent product isn't too much to ask. It's not as if you just walk up to the stadium and enter freely.

Fans don't have the right to attack players like they do on social media. What he posted was dumb but the response from UT fans was the actual embarrassment

I forgot which thread I was in and I got what you were saying after I posted. As I read you now you were talking about people going after the player and I get that, myself, I'm much more prone to blame the adults getting paid millions of dollars.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that it was funny or that people shouldn't be upset about it. I think the problem is when those people attack the guy on social media.

Only at UT are the fans the embarrassment after losing to an FCS level team, frankly everything that has happened the last decade is the "fans fault". If this were any other school, there wouldn't be any fans. The fans of UT are extremely patient and loyal. It's the players, administration, and coaches, with a few notable exceptions, that have sucked for the past decade.
