Is this a tweet from one of our players laughing?

Ok so it was bad timing. Run some stairs and get it over with. This crazy overreaction is ridiculous
It's a pretty good indicator of the mentality of, at least a portion of, the team. Considering what they looked like on the field, hell, it might be all of them.

That's a big damn deal.

Run him to death etc, etc but kicking off the team? Come on lol. Not talking about you, but many on here thought BT didn't nothing really at all and he didn't hit his girlfriend but said awful things to her and shouldn't be kicked off the team and that it was just word.........but retweet a funny meme about our loss on Saturday and same people want that kid kicked out on the street.

I hate that kind of punk ass attitude. I don't care if he gets kicked off the team.or not that's Pruitt's thang, but if he does I sure don't think its ridiculous. Good golly something gotta change.

We disagree violently then lol. Meet me at waffle house bare

Only at UT are the fans the embarrassment after losing to an FCS level team, frankly everything that has happened the last decade is the "fans fault". If this were any other school, there wouldn't be any fans. The fans of UT are extremely patient and loyal. It's the players, administration, and coaches, with a few notable exceptions, that have sucked for the past decade.
Fans personally attacking players on Twitter are an embarrassment to all fan bases. Seems UT fans just take extra pride in their use of that platform. That reaction is worse than a badly timed joke

Pruitt said last year that a number of players could care less about playing elite football. I’m thinking he’s right.

Well if that's the case dismiss every single one of them that don't give a crap and only play the ones who really care about giving their all for Tennessee!!

Not trying to intrude here on your argument, but no it doesn’t. You can pay child support all the way up until they’re 23 if they stay in school.

If you have an idiot for a lawyer maybe but college isn't a birthright or a parental responsibility, neither is owning a car. The only other reason a child would be in high school until they are 21 would be if they have disability.

Here y’all go. Watch the first minute. Listen to mullen. I don’t care if it’s a thumb wrestling or running bleachers, I’m kicking your a$$. Attitude and competitiveness is missing from our team

When I was in school I remember seeing players out having a good time after losses to bama or Florida. They don't take losses as personally as fans

We're not talking about the same thing. I could care less what responses he got if he was dumb enough to put it out there. I do care that he was dumb enough to put it out there.... but I'm more concerned he felt that to begin with.

I spend my share of time being upset with the fan base. But I'm currently more upset with the team. The fan base didn't lay down and roll over Saturday.

Fans pay big money every year to go watch our team and when we see performances like that and then see a player tweet something likes this how could we not be mad? Come on man. If he thinks it's funny then he can go transfer somewhere else for all I care.
You hit the nail on the head. I spend $,$$$'s a year on season tickets, go to every home game spending no less than $150 a game. Nothing funny about it. Now, I've watched people on this site talk about the lack of IQ these players have not being able to learn plays. Don't get self righteous and get pissed over people taking offense to a gu$$er $at thinking it's funny UT having to payout basically a million dollars to a team that stomped their backside. Nothing funny about it, unless you're a GA St fan.

**Edit** you are absolutely right @utvolpj I stand corrected. I'll keep it classy. I guess around here it's classy to use $$@@!! so I'll make that change.

So now we refer to players as gutter rats? Keep it classy

Yep...flip this roster as fast as you can. For fans thinking that a coach can give some rah, rah speech and turn any player into someone who gives a damn and will bust his butt for his school and team is being delusional. We have to depend on players like this because we simply don't have talented players with the experience to help us right now. When Pruitt graduates his first class, that's when I'll judge the man. If he's still lacking at that point, I'm all in for a replacement. Until then he's trying to fight a war with soldiers who don't really care.
