Is this true? Justine transferring

I wish her well.

She was probbaly a bit overranked, but she could certainly have helped us. And with proper development would likely have helped us a lot.

It really isn't good to lose a kid like that to Vanderbilt of all places.
With the portal HS success means less and less your stock is reevaluated after each season now.

Did you ever post she was over ranked while we were recruiting her or while she was on the team if not why now ?. I do respect your opinion that you are entitled to have but I had to ask the question

That's perfectly fair, and yes, I pointed that out. I was also the first one to say she had a low release and not all that great a 3 pt percentage. I took flak for that.

When we first started recruiting her she was rated low and I posted I thought she was better than that. When she got her final high ranking I pointed out it looked too high because she definitely was one of the poorer players on the international team she was on. She looked like she belonged, but was not good enough to justify that ranking. She has pretty much always been who I thought she was. I just thought she never got enough court time for us to see what her ceiling is because she was still figuring out where she should be and what her role would be.

I will also point out that it looks to me like she might have retooled her release a little since it seemed higher the last time I saw her play. Might be an anomaly since she played so little and I don't hit replay to check these things.

No one here knows what sort of work she was putting in, and we saw her very little so all opinions should be taken with a grain of salt. But I saw her flash a few things that make me think there is potential there that has not been tapped.

Not sure she can consistantly start there either but more her speed.
Maybe she went there for the academics. Perhaps the whole transfer event was triggered by her recognizing she probably wasn't going to play at the next level and thought her future was better served by a Vandy degree. She traded the glory of a Lady Vol career for a better starting salary.

At least she will get a good education and maybe some NIL money. I don't think she will get to play in many NCAA tournament games. So much for her transferring to UConn.

I'd take a degree from Vandy any day. It will open a lot of doors for her, and likely at a more desirable salary.

Where you go to school has very little to do with your salary. That’s all up to you.

I’ve been part of the interviewing process and I can assure you the University where the degreed interviewee comes from is considered highly! A degree from UT will be looked at differently than one from Vanderbilt, Stanford, Duke. , or M.T.S.U. and Chattanooga! It’s just common sense!

I worked for a Fortune 5 company. During the time I sat in on hiring decisions we chose a Tenn Tech grad over a Vanderbilt grad. A Vanderbilt degree is not helpful in all fields.
