Israel vs Palestinians

Mistakes happen in war. Remember this? Would you also claim that the US is wantonly killing civilians?
I don't do "arguing on the internet", and I have the person you're responding to on ignore, but I gotta say the USA went though a phase of killing a very large number of civilians. This was done by Obama. It SHOULD BE common knowledge, but it's clearly not. The media certainly never mentioned it. Biden scaled this back and created some new rules. It's limited to just Iraq and Syria as far as I know.

Can you be more specific about the claim that we are currently killing civilians in Iraq

Oh indeed. I was just pointing out that the US has accidentally killed multiple civilians purely by mistake so we shouldn’t criticize Israel when it happens there. I pointed out one obvious example in which Biden gave the green light a drone strike in Afghanistan in response to the bombing of 19 of our servicemen at the airport. Biden was assured that the car targeted contained terrorists. Instead it was a father and 10 children.
Mistakes happen in war zones. Neither the US nor Israel kill civilians deliberately and on purpose. Hamas does and actively brags about it.

Part of my position is out of self-interest because I specifically do not want this to happen "again." LOL. I do not want blowback, and helping the IDF to murder little Palestinian children is how we create future terrorists and make the target on our backs bigger.

Nobody is defending "murderous Muslims." What hoops are we jumping through? I/we are condemning both sides for wrongdoing. Y'all are the ones jumping through hoops pretending the IDF is not a bad actor, that our government is doing right by us, and that it is taking a correct moral stand.

Supporting Palestinians likewise isn't doing right by us, nor is it taking a correct moral stand.

Morals have been thrown out of the window for this decades old conflict long ago.

We shouldn't be funding it or providing support for it, either side.

Both sides have stated they will not relent...... I guess we should just let them finish killing each other and stay out of it.

Civilians died in every war. Period. Full stop.

If Gaza didn’t want civilians killed; they shouldn’t have started a war.

Israel takes every responsible precaution to avoid civilian casualties. Hamas on the other hand, deliberately attacks music festivals and kills teenagers. Then cynically hides behind their own civilians in a reprehensible plan to increase their own civilian deaths to garner international sympathy.

Hamas started this war. They don’t get to complain when it doesn’t go the way they want.
The war didn't start in October last year. By your token, Israel shouldn't have started the war in 1948 if they didn't want their citizens attacked later.
You're well versed in Israeli propaganda. It's up to you if that's all you want to know, but it's not truth.

All that is red herring. The real issue is people here trying to view the situation there as if it were here.

Both sides have clearly stated they can’t coexist. There have been 3 compromises that did not result in a Palestinian state.
They say it’s too the death and I believe them.

The debate over numbers and deaths is irrelevant as well. On 10/07 one side attacked the other by surprise. They killed a little over 1000 women and children. The only reason that number wasn’t 100k is the ability to do damage. If the Palestinians had the ability to kill more they would have. Israel has responded. They’ve killed 40something k. The only reason that number isn’t 100k or 1 mil is restraint.

Make no mistake about this. When it’s over there will only be one country that controls that space

Edit: my position is still that it’s not our responsibility to pay for any of this. Not the fighting. Not the rebuilding. Nothing.

bolded is the truth

Purely by mistake? Neither kill civilians intentionally? If you really believe that you're incredibly naive. They line them up and pull the trigger time after time.
If that were anywhere close to true, and it's not, they're extremely negligent and / or incompetent given how often it happens.

They'd still have that boot on their collective neck.
But they want their boot on Israel's neck. How do you think negotiations work? Israel isn't just disappearing. It's total war between them now. Which means bye bye palestine. Probably should have taken that deal where you got a great deal besides not having your own military. Did you view Japan for the last 80 years as being vassal states?

They want Israel’s neck… cut. They’ve explicitly stated as much for decades now.

With Trump, who knows, so we'll have to see how it unfolds.
Japan was certainly a vassal state of the US post WWII. Look who wrote their constitution. They're less subordinate now but still are to a degree.
