No… it was peaceful and loving the entire time.lol wut?
when the Arabs/Muslims took over it was violent. when the ottomans took over it was violent. when the egyptians ruled the area it was violent. I think one of the dynasties had some peace, but the rest were very violent. Heck if you read the Bible there are at least 2 documented cases of the Jews being rounded up and scattered/moved. plenty of other conflicts mentioned. Assyrians, Babylonians, heck the Sea Peoples at the Bronze Age collapse. Not sure if the greeks count as western Europe but plenty of their violence too before the Romans showed up.
I think by peaceful you mean "I don't count it unless I can blame Western Europeans".
where? show me where. The Six Day was an absolute rout. The Israelis weren’t in danger. It was a Turkey shoot.
Yom Kippur War would be a better example for you to stumble through.
Yes, you have consistently downplayed 10/7.
Yes, you have consistently asked incredulously - WhAt’s tHe BiG dEaL???
We know why - you want to rail against Israel for their response.
So rail against Israel. You don’t need a contrived reason to do so.
still doesn't make any sense. you are going to have to give me some pretty specific times, and apparently the WWs are out from whatever you were discussing. because the area is soaked with blood from time immemorial and from every peoples that was ever there. No, I mean peaceful compared to say Europe or SE Asia over the same period of time.
They can buy whatever they need from us.We basically outfitted the IDF and gave them the capabilities they have so what they do with that capability comes back to us.
We know that we'll maintain our ties after this round is over. Pretending to walk away now isn't in our long term interests.
Here’s an entire post where your fundamental question is - “why the change, what happened?”where? show me where.
and I have called Israel out, and you went from calling me a supporter of terrorists, to a terrorist, back to someone who should die with the terrorists.
I call out bs from anyone I see it from. I got onto Eastern for having a completely made up bs history of Middle East, gave him multiple examples where he was wrong. I don't have a side here. been saying from the start war is war, and Israel isn't immune to the truths of war.
Gaza War was from December 27th to Jan 18th. seeing three listed as dead, 19 abducted.
Israel was on the offensive in the Six Day War. they wanted to make sure Israel was protected.
their war of independence claimed 2000+ civilian lives.
hard to pin down numbers, but I am seeing more than 5000 dead Israeli civilians before 10/7/2023 since Hamas took over in 2007.
which leads right back to my point you haven't addressed. why did it suddenly change? Hamas has been consistently fighting them, killing dozens if not hundreds every single year even outside the bigger fights in 2008 and 2019 and now 2023/24.
however you want to break it down.
their dog bit your kid.
your dog bit their kid.
their dog, and three other neighbor dogs, bit your kid.
your dog bit their kid.
their dog bit your kid.
your dog bit their kid.
their dog bit your kid.
your dog bit their kid.
their dog bit your kid.
your dog bit their kid.
their dog bit your kid.

three of their dogs bit your kid.

their dog bit your kid.
your dog bit their kid.
their dog bit two of your kids.
you shoot the dog, their kid, their spouse, and blow up their house.
*the "you" in this scenario is Israel, and dogs biting means civilians getting killed by the various militaries, before hog gets confused again.
I guess Israel didn't care about one of their kids getting bit, it was only when two kids got bit that it suddenly becomes a problem? and this has played out over 70 years, and has really ramped up in the last 20, but again its supposed to only be a problem worth addressing now? After how long?
the bigger escalation was Israel, apparently Israel acting out a preplanned strategy to take more land has been discussed in this thread already. that seems a far better explanation for the complete change of scale/approach in response than the largest attack, and its apparently taboo to even bring it up. not saying right, wrong or otherwise, before you deflect again.
Its not like this is a minor increase by Israel, its not even the numbers that really matter. this is a scorched earth approach instead of targeted approach to only deal with the problem as we have seen before. and lets just say I am very very dubious about the effect this will have.
What do you mean by “mine” and “yours” when you say 1 is worth 1000?I agree. That’s exactly what you do.
In fact that’s all you do. You don’t actually stay on topic. Most of the time you don’t know what the topic is
This is a perfect example of how stupid you are. What do you mean by “mine” and “yours” when you say 1 is worth 1000?
Oh, forgot the other response to tough questions: “I didn’t read them.” LmaoThis is a perfect example of how stupid you are.
Absolutely everyone including EV knew what I meant. EV played dumb. You just are.
Thanks for making it obvious on the first example so I didn’t have to go line by line on things you would not understand anyway.
Once again…..you don’t want to talk about the actual topic. You want to argue about irrelevance
Oh yeah this is a huge deal.“Doesn’t avoid questions,” is made aware of 4 questions he avoided, avoids them again, tries to make up new definitions for words, avoids them AGAIN, then ends saying absolutely nothing. Just like I said![]()
Avoiding with meaningless word salad, check. Come back when you don’t feel like proving my point with every postOh yeah this is a huge deal.
I never said I avoid questions.
I actually said I do it to aggravate the simpletons (and here we are) it’s EV who said he didn’t but was justified if he did.
Lmao
This goes back to a comment "There was a constant state of armed conflict since the early…..forever" which I don't think holds true for the region. It has seen its share of invasions by Europeans and some others but I don't see the continuity of warfare there that Europe has seen.still doesn't make any sense. you are going to have to give me some pretty specific times, and apparently the WWs are out from whatever you were discussing. because the area is soaked with blood from time immemorial and from every peoples that was ever there.
you may be able to point to some specific years where europe was worse, but overall I wouldn't call the cross road of the world a more peaceful place than anywhere. just based on geography it was always going to be one of the most fought over areas.
