I have been saying this for a while.

the current actions MAY bring long term peace with Gaza. But I think it brings more long term violence/bad relations with the rest of the neighbors. Israel is justifying the anti-Israel opinions most of their neighbors have. The not-so-distant past improving relations they had with various parties like Jordan and Saudi Arabia is going to be impossible in the future.

and it really depends on what ends up happening with all of the displaced Gazans. If they are forced into another country that is really going to drive a divide.

I would have handled this completely differently.
Although most would hate my solution just as bad.

Not just their neighbors, but their support overall in the West is eroding quickly and completely collapsed with the younger generation in the West.

That's the dirty secret nobody wants to talk about. The rest of the Middle East despise the Palestinians and refuse to allow them in their country. They just loathe the Zionists even more.

His is similar to mine. I would have starved them out. Cut off all aid and services provided through Israeli territory and waters.

Then I (don't know about slice) after they were severally weakened I would have leveled most of Gaza and redeveloped it into beachside resorts/condos.

I would have gone siege warfare. Nothing gets in. Not humanitarian aid, no water, no electricity, nothing until the hostages were returned and the leaders surrendered.

After that when the siege was lifted, they’d be on their own. I would not sell them anything, food , water electricity, nothing.
They’d need to build some infrastructure pretty quickly or find someone else to provide for them.

I’d be buying property like crazy and giving amnesty and safe passage to those who sold it.

All out war..the only way to wage war..seemed to work for the Allies in WW2, but every subsequent war with pols placing their hand on the scale and causing decades long crisis.

BTW, I was on on BR today on LRD and looked close to being finished..No wonder it is taking so long as it will be a bridge. I thought they were just putting up ratainment walls.

A 2 second burst cost 7K, so to be equitable, you would get 14 seconds and probably not as high kill rate..IDK just speculating. A CIWS is not preferable for Area defense.

I've been saying that million dollar weapons of low volume vs cheap weapons in high volume is not sustainable for The West/US/Israel.

If the west doesn’t use smart bombs, they’re evil and don’t care about civilians.
