It seems like Cuonzo's players always

Martin has been here 2 seasons and inherited arguably the worst UT basketball situation in a couple of decades. In that time he's managed to win some big games and he has lost some real stinkers.

The book is still out on CCM. He has shown plenty of flashes both good and bad. This is the first year he's had a roster without a ton of holes.

Not many teams make it an entire season without losing a couple of games they shouldn't. The Xavier game was very disappointing but it's not something to cause the fanbase to lose hope in this team or our coach.

Not even close.....k Oneill was coaching me and my buddies his first yr. plus Martin walked into a lot of pluses his first yr that wasn't there for the othe coaches. Pratt pavilion, upgraded facilities, enhanced fan support, and a 25,000 seat arena that no longer needs curtains. He has a lot of selling points to lure in top recruits.

How many years ago was that? 19?

You forgot to mention the other things Martin inherited. NCAA penalties looming and only 7 guys on scholarship.

That's about how many scholarship players Pearl had when he beat #1 ranked Kansas.

That's the number of players that had played for the guy for half a season already, if not a couple years. A little different. And the reason he had that many is because he recruited guys that allowed themselves to get into stupid situations. No sympathies for the guy for that one.

You did say two decades lol......the threat of violations was gone before his first practice.......true he had 7 scholarship players but also got stokes around......the job he took over was not that bad at all.

Stokes wasn't inherited though. Threat of NCAA was looming while we were signing guys that probably shouldn't have been wearing orange.

I'd have to check a roster from the team you mentioned but when your best returning player is cam Tatum, you're in trouble.

It's not about who got the stats the yr before its about the talent on the roster......McRae, Maymon, and golden all had talent.

I wasn't disappointed in Zo's first yr with our record or his recruiting, although I wish he hadn't signed so many guys but it all works out. I was very disappointed with his next class adding Reese,Moore, and Edwards.

As for his coaching, our defense has been a big disappointment for a coach whose that is suppose to be his staple. With us having one of the most veteran starting five in the NCAA, our start is very concerning.

I think this is overplayed. Maymon I wouldn't count as a returning starter, the guys he started with 2 years ago aren't starting now. Barton wasn't a starter at Memphis, and missed 3 of the most important weeks of practice leading up to the season. That leaves Richardson, McRae and Stokes as your returning starters, I'd say there's quite a few teams that returned 3 starters.

It's jmo but I don't buy into that as much as others.
