Clubhouse chemistry has never exactly been one of the top concerns of the boys in pinstripes.

But it's a risk-free move if you start him out in Scranton, so why not? I don't see it, though: Ponson was never even a good pitcher even when he was "good." If he helps the Yankees out much down the stretch, I'll be shocked.

That is true but signing him is automatic clubhouse problems and usually pretty big ones. Hell, he just got DFA'd because of locker room problems and I have heard it was a pretty bad sight.

Stop gap until Kennedy gets back. Who will be one until Hughes gets back.

Think of the Aaron Small, Shawn Chacon situation a few years ago.
