Still owned UT, spin it as you wish. Also beat LSU, A&M, USC jr(killed them),Vandy and FSU. The man is 11-1. Point is that most UT(and SEC fans) called him a joke of a hire and they are 11-1. Fans cheering or mocking doesnt always mean it is a bad hire. I dont care what other fanbases think about our coach.

This. I don't understand all the hate for Strong. The best choice in my opinion. Don't want Gundy or Fisher over Strong. Look at the list of SEC coaches. Saban is the only coach that was a "big name" coach at the time he was hired. Why does everyone think we have to have a big name for it to be a great hire?

They are actually 2nd if you go by average star count. The reason they are so low is due to only having 10 recruits so far. Pretty sure they can only sign 15 or so players. They are the mix for some bigger names as well. If Strong had stayed, they would have likely been around 30 or so nationwide.

Charlie is solid, but he isn't going to win SEC championships at UT. If he's hired I hope I am wrong that I think we're right back here in 4 years.

what about when Florida just spanks him from one side of New Orleans to the other? Will you knob gobblers still be this excited about another guy who just got his @$$ whipped by FL to come be our coach? Especially since we have so much recent success beating FL and all.

strong got beat by Uconn and Syracuse.. IN FOOTBALL..
I suppose anything could happen. Its more likely though that that game makes the UT/Florida game look super close. The first half will probably be similar to the bama auburn game. Only florida likes to run up the score so it could be even worse.

Chuck trying to get kids to come to Louisville -v- Chuck trying to get kids to come to Knoxville, are two different animals.

He was one of the best recruiters Gainesvillle has ever seen. He will be a stud coach at UT which sucks for me because I really wanted him instead of Muschamp at UF.
