I was at the Mizzery game. I knew right then that Dooley was done.

It was my first game at Neyland, but if Stong is hired I will be at MANY more in the next few years.

Chuck is great for the game of football. His players love him. They respect him. They play their tails off for him. I dont want to remind folks of a certain person when I say this, but if you spend 5 min with Chuck Strong, you will be a better person for it.

He is a great football mind and a great motivator. It will suck for us Gators to watch what he does if he comes to UT.

Disclaimer: for those who dont know me well enough, my kid is at UT, and is an athlete. She has been rather disappointed with the effort and attitude put forth by the football program the last couple years. That will change fast with Chuck on board.

he is a great coach and a steal though I think that if the numbers in the OP are correct, you are overpaying him. I loved him when he was at Carolina

That "only one" AD did more to wreck our program than any other person in history.

I much prefer opposing fans to fear our new HC than to welcome him with open arms to the SEC.

While we are on the subject, refresh my memory on all of Hart's great coaching hires before coming to UT?

I think if Charlie Strong is hired as our coach he will do a good job.He will have so much more to work with at Tennessee and he has coached in the SEC before.I don't know why people are bashing him.Give the man a chance if it is him.You guys gave Dooley a chance.And every year Louisville got a little better while he was there.If he can win at Louisville.He can win at Tennessee.
