It's getting old

What's really comical is that come time for Spring practice you will probably be first in line to proclaim Golden as the next great coach at UT and the one to get us back to the top. LOL.

Probably not considering I grew up 10 mins from Neyland and know what real winning teams looks like. Manners have gone out the door. True vol fans are ready to win now! The BS of mediocrity is over. You play to win and if you don't have the guts to come out and say you wouldn't be pissed if we settle for mediocrity once again then you are no true vol fan IMO.

The only information I think Hart should come forward with would be if Gruden is not going to be the coach. If he knows now, he should say so in no uncertain terms, because if Gruden isn't coming the fan base needs to move on. I would hate for UT to hire a really fine coach and the fan base be disappointed because they still thought Gruden was coming.

Maybe there's no desire to tell us, because we're about to be disappointed again.

Maybe Hart aint got to. Ya think?? Geeze you guys. Let the Man do his job. Wonder why you aint hearing nothing? Ever dawn on you that the cat's in the bag---already?

I chose to use slang English to fit the occasion.

Hart is too busy reading this CRAP on VN to do all of his interviews.

He is doing a Poll to see who each of us wants to coach before he makes his decision.

So VN works themselves up in a frenzy and it is Hart's JOB---to calm em down? Not in the contract.

I grew up 10 minutes from the railroad tracks. So, I know everything it takes to be a railroad tycoon now. I'm basically the next Cornelius Vanderbilt.

Likewise, I wish Gruden would go ahead and say conclusively he's not interested in the UT job, if that is the case. I'm not optimistic about getting him, but it puzzles me why he doesn't make a statement that he's not coming (I know, unless he is :))

Where did you go to high school...I was in S Knox and went to Doyle (which isn't Doyle anymore) If you lived 10 miutes from the stadium were you near Dr Bass's body farm?

Ya'll are like the kids that want to know everything they are getting for Christmas. Instead, just believe that Santa Clause wants to get you cool stuff, and then when Christmas comes, you'll be happy you didn't spoil the surprise

Last time we had Christmas, I walked down stairs and Santa brought me a Dooley!

Kidding aside, I'm not too worried, and I don't expect a play by play. I'm not even sure if Gruden would be the best thing for us. BUT, I think the second the AD knows it will not be Gruden (if we don't offer or if he turns us down, yada, yada) soemone needs to kill the rumors. This Gruden rumor thing is going to get ugly (or uglier).

Um...I didn't grow up in Knoxville. I was being a smartass. I think you want the other guy...

Stopping our gift of $18 million to the academics and then interviewing Al Golden....?

Does not compute?

True, but that time should have had it all wrapped up in a pretty package by now IF it's going to happen.

Maybe he's still under contract with Tampa bay, and it would cost him his last check if he were hired by The University of Tennessee right now.

cyclop...please tell me there is some rule that we have to interview three people. Beaver Cleaver is one of the two stiffs. We can also interview Gerry DiNardio. And then interview, and hire someone, from our top-5 list
