You are required to in the NFL. I do not know about the NCAA. There is a black coaches name associated with that rule in the NFL....can't recall the specifics.

I do think he would be nuts to not at least interview Charlie Strong.

AL Golden is about 15 years younger than Butch Davis. This position, these days, required the energy of the youth...imho.

I think we should stay away from anyone who might be called a retread...Butch is in that category in my opinion. We need to be looking for someone who can build this thing back up and stay with us for 10-12 years.

NO. I just don't think it is very smart to come out with a bunch of denials--when you may have to retract. SO---If there is nothing to update--Hart doesn't. And if there is something in the works, but they choose not to announce until the most opportunity moment---Hart doesn't. Either way---He doesn't.

So are you agreeing or disagreeing that Butch Davis...who many wanted here when Fulmer was given the axe....should be considered if we are interviewing Mr. Golden?

Neither would be my first choice, but both would be able to produce some wins here. Davis has some ncaa baggage tho.
