So wait...Nico goes 5/9 vs uconn mop up 2nd and 3rd string players..and you think he is suddenly gonna perform at an Sec level..vandy or not.. I love you calling my mentality soft when you given up in a season with 3 games left....talk about soft..may know my 11 year old gives up to when thing dont go thier way...throw a tantrum and cry and tou damn near the same level emotionally as a child...and yes a 0-3 season end with a loss to Vandy sure AF will effect recruiting...if you struggle with that then you dont understand recruiting or football...and loss or poor performance against Vandy will hurt way more..If you think 7-6 vs 9-4 matters in recruiting when the main change in the final 3 games of the season is you’re turning the offense over to the future, you don’t understand this new landscape. If we go 0-3 to end the season and Nico is passing Milton’s averages on the season, that means the weakness is the defense…. That’s gonna hurt the offensive recruiting. Sure as hell won’t hurt the defensive recruiting either.
Heupel is very likable and I believe one of the better players’ coaches in the country. But to think the remaining games are meaningful TO THE PROGRAM’s FUTURE in any way with Milton starting over Nico, you’re mistaken.
We are likely to finish 9-4 regardless who is starting at QB. Getting Nico on film and experience makes that 9-4 better than going 2-1 in the final 3 games so Milton can finish the year.
And you just prove how soft your mentality is if you think Nico starting is somehow risking a loss to Vandy just by the mere mentioning of a 7-6 record. Either the kid is Bambi or he’s a gamer. It would be the first time Milton has been a weaker performer than the guy sitting behind him on the depth chart.
