J.P. Prince Transferring to Tennessee?

What all have you learned from Hatevols?

That Bruce Pearl is a piece of trash?
That Bruce Pearl will be run out of Knoxville after next season?
That Bruce Pearl would never make the Elite 8?
That JP Prince didn't deserve a scholarship?
That Lane Kiffin is the second coming of christ?
Hat doesn't like Bruce? Thanks for sharing that and indeed more value from you. Kiffin was going to be successful at UT. Only the clueless would think otherwise. He took a job he wanted that paid more. My opinion doesn't change since he and the main parts of his staff are at USC unless the 'AA does more damage than is thought. I addressed the JP eval already. No surprise you'd bring it up again.

The basketball forum has deteriorated in the last few months making it much less entertaining with the chronic bickering. I don't visit here near as often as I once did and I'm sure I'm not the only one. How shocking that your join date is along the same time-line. I don't always agree with Hat or his delivery, but it doesn't change the fact I still respect his opinion. Continue on with your and other's efforts to disrupt this forum though in the best year in UT's basketball history.

Really? There are countless number of people that disagree with this. You should start being a little less pretentious. You have the hatevols syndrome: Whenever someone disagrees with you, they are automatically "clueless."

There are countless number of people who started disagreeing on January 15th when he left...and there are countless number of people that disagree because "he talked too much and made us look bad." There are also countless number of people who don't understand subject-verb agreement...but who's counting?

I think we would have been L.O.A.D.E.D. under Kiffin, yet the jury is out on how he would have competed vs. the big boys of the SEC year in and year out.

 Keep fighting the good fight VKAman. Wouldn't expect anything less.

Too bad you couldn't use the same crystal ball that is telling you Kiffin would have been SO AWESOME HERE, to tell you that he would bail after a year.

Then you wouldn't have been so disappointed the day your daddy left.

"Wayne Chism will play another game in a Tennessee uniform, this is a good thing."

No one, and I mean no one, could give us the expert post-game analysis that hatevols does. :eek:lol:
Ok. You post your list of 10 things after every game and we'll see how much people care. Hat calls people out when he's right, so I don't see any problem with people calling him out when he's wrong, but this thread is laughable.

I guess. He was within 10 of Florida on the short end of as wide of a talent gap as there would ever be between the two teams, in the Swamp.

He was a non-injured kicker away from beating a loaded Alabama team that went on to win the national title.

I think it is easier for us as Tennessee fans to dwell on whatever uncertainties we can muster, than to face the good possibility that we missed out on quickly rising to elite status because of an ill-timed coaching departure on the West Coast.

Based on the way he competed with them this year, I think he would be fine. The whole situation is upsetting.

Perfectly said. I have no doubt we would have been awesome...

While the latter requires a crystal ball, the first requires football knowledge. I can see how that would be a foreign concept to you.

You're lying to yourself if you think that game was as close as the final score indicated. I'm sure you would admit this.

He was a non-injured kicker away from beating a loaded Alabama team that went on to win the national title.
No, he was a coward. He kicked a field goal that basically forfeited the game, which is a very troubling sign. You will also admit that we played Alabama at a very opportune time last year.

I am surprised that you didn't mention the UCLA, Ole Miss or Va Tech game. Wonder why that is?

Kiffin lovers and their moral victories and endless excuses. He's gone guys, you can stop defending him now. :eek:lol:

Yeah. He should have taken a 5-7 team to 12-0 his first year. People are making too many excuses. Like when Bama lost to UL Monroe, people were being idiots and making excuses for Nick Saban like he's a good coach or something...

Wait, my bad. Forgot that UL Monroe is clearly better than Virginia Tech and UCLA.

This is complete crap.

So what? We had essentially no depth by the Ole Miss game. This is a joke.

Yet he parlayed that into the HC position at one of the most tradition rich programs in the country. Did I mention that it is his dream job and that he got a raise?

Not just a raise either; pretty sure they literally doubled his salary

Well arent you the ballsy one nowadays?
Never mistake ballsy for being being a schmo. I'm just another poster who is tired of his schitck that calls him out and he resorts to 2nd grade level retorts. Then, the very next post, the simpleton very predictably compares me to Hat.

The way I see it, excuses aside,
0. Western Ky was an exhibition game
1. we lost a close to UCLA (who was a poor),
2. kept it within 10 pts vs UF,
3. scraped a win vs. OHIO,
4. farted around and lost to Auburn,
5. curb stomped UGA,
6. lost a close one to bammer (highlight of season),
7. Embarrased USClite
8. smeared Memphis all over east TN,
9. got skull-dragged by ole miss (basically a neutral site atmosphere),
10. ate Vandy's lunch
11. survived another scare at UK
12. Completely out-classed by Beamer ball

7-6

3rd worst season in the last 20 some-odd years. Color me undecided.

Elite talent would have improved this record. Just not SURE how much.

The final score of the UF game was indicative of the gameplan, run the clock, take as few chances as possible, hope to win the turnover battle and take the game to the 4th quarter within 2 scores. With the discrepancy in talent, depth, and playing in the toughest venue in the country, it really was all anyone could hope for. Remind me of the score of the 2 previous games against them and Alabama. Then, you attempt to diminish the potential upset over the national champs with the same issues. It's no wonder you get ridiculed frequently necessitating mod intervention and that sweet letter writing campaign.

The UCLA game was a bad loss, not denying that. It's hard to believe that he would try to develop confidence in his senior quarterback by giving him more leeway than in hindsight he should have. What a terrible decision with a trip to Gainesville on the schedule the following week. Ole Miss and Va. Tech were the better teams period, especially when depth issues became problematic.

I couldn't care less about whether he succeeds or fails at USC. He's no longer our coach.

I am not lying to myself. The score differential was 10. Fact. The score is all that matters.

Whether you think he was a coward for going for it or not (which is ridiculous, as the odds of making that field goal, however slim due to the kicker's injury, is greater than a hail mary pass when they know it's coming), he still had us within two of the eventual national champion.

I don't have anything to "admit" to, as I wasn't trying to be deceptive.
