I wouldn't consider him horrible, he kept his team in some games with inferior talent last year. He took a QB who belonged on a scrap heap and turned him into a solid starter who might play a back up role in the NFL in the future.

To be fair, he got all of these HC jobs based on potential. He still has yet to prove himself as a HC, so we can't tell if he's a good or bad one yet. That being said, he's going to win championships at USC.
