Maybe Bruce is doing it in an attempt to break into Memphis a little more(maybe it will help with Elliot Williams).

If you can't teach size, then does that mean that Childress is a valuable asset? Same thing with the incoming Brian Williams?

No, Prince is 6'6". Brian Williams is 6'9". I will admit that both players are probably projects for Bruce Pearl. I'd like to see what he can make of Prince. Prince didn't get ranked in the Top 20 players in the country coming out of high school without talent.

They're both more valuable assets than a mid sized guy who doesn't shoot or defend particularly well.

Prince was very overrated coming out of high school. Another one of those players that gets lofty praise because he is tall and has the "ability" to play the PG position. By ability I mean he can dribble. Thats apparently all it takes for these evaluators to think you are golded at the PG position. He does not have the athletic ability or quickness to play the PG position. He has no outside shot to speak of. And, like hat said....his defense is horrible.

Please tell me you're not one of those guys who puts stock in recruiting analysts. I expect better out of you, tclowers.

Fact remains... Bruce Pearl and UT will take him if everything goes through. We'll see how he turns out.

I believe one of those guys just exited Knoxville.

I don't get to watch the majority of those players live, so it's all I have to go by. Stats... and recruiting rankings. It's a sad world.

He is very similar to Johnson from what I saw of him in high school. Maybe a slightly better athlete than Johnson, but not much.

Me, too. I never like to see a player waste away on the bench. If Prince were smart, he'd swallow his pride a bit and go somewhere like UTEP or Tulane. He can contribute in C-USA.

Until I can watch this guy play, I guess I can't make much of a case. What's his deal? Is he lazy? Or are you being serious when you say he has no talent?

I should be more concise in my language. He doesn't have PAC 10/SEC type talent. He has no + skill. He doesn't shoot, pass, or defend in a manner that would merit time on a good team in a big time conference. I don't think it's laziness, it's just that there are plenty of guys better than him.

I gotcha. Well, now you've got me second-guessing this guy coming to UT. Dang you, Hatvol.

He could hold it over to the next class. We would have 5 for that class and we already have Cordell Passley. We also have Aminu, McMasters, Osby, Juric, Williams, Miller, etc. looking at us, not to mention we will still try to get in with Hopson.

It will be hard to steal Hopson, Bruce Pearl doesnt pay as well as ol' Stanny at MSU.

If he wins the lottery and no longer needs the paycheck from Stanny then I think UT gets back in the picture quickly.

Keep an eye on Travis Releford.
