Jabari McGhee to WKU

Does that really matter?
How many would UNC vacate if they were penalized for 20 years of cheating?

It matters in that their history is tainted - the NCAA doesn't recognize those wins, but they are needed to pump up their history. UNC's history is full of taint as well.

Geewilleekers...this thread is called.."Jabari transfers to WKU!" WHY IN THE SAM HILLFIGER are you guys arguing about nuts, Etc.. I dont think that this discussion was meant for this thread. However, someone start a thread "UT VS WKU: WHOSE GIVING UP THEIR LEFT NUT?"

Isn't comparing team histories a lot like comparing players from different areas.
Think of the changes that have taken place in the last 40 years.
it changed drastically when the race barriers were overcome.
it has changed even more since the internet became popular and the age of information transformed the process of recruiting. How can you compare 2015 Tn to 1965 WKU?

But... but... but... WKU is top 30 all time and TN is 60 something all time. According to people unfamiliar with both programs writing some articles.

I mean people can complain all they want about getting the tourney because of conferences and all that...but WKU has generally done decent in it.

They have. But they have had the advantage of being able to sleep walk through their entire conference schedule and go all in in the post season. P5s have to fight all year just to get there.

BTW, why haven't WKU and KY played more often? I'll have to assume that KY has been dodging them.

It's already one too many for a TN basketball forum. Two would be an outrage.

Rupp was known not to play instate teams. He saw it as a lose-lose situation. Win, and it's because we are UK and should win. Lose, and it's embarrassing and hurtful for the program. Supposedly only a few scrimmages ever happened throughout the years before 1971. I guess because we never got a rivalry going, and then had some tough games against them in the tourney, we avoided it? We certainly had a rough time in football.

So it's UT at 19-21 and WKU at 15-24 for NCAA recognized records. My left nut is definitely more valuable than that.

I guess 15-23 if you take the loss out too. Is 15-23 at a school like WKU better than 19-21 by a P5 decent program? I don't know. WKU is definitely a good program by their standards.

ESPN?
They nothing about the sport. Do they?
Who makes their top 50 all time?
UTEP and WKU
No TN there. Ignorance is BLISS aint it Thunder.

How many more historical lists ya want Jack?

Link it and I'll point out their bull ****.

Quit while you're ahead youngen. You obviously know nothing about the history of the sport.

Spend a day studying the history of college basketball, not the last 20 years, all of it, then get back to me.

I know more than you think. Do you know which Big10 team has been the most successful head-to-head versus the rest?

Link the ESPN article if you're able.

I'll link in a bit.
First, you keep referring to a P5 in basketball. Please name which conferences you think are P5 in bb.

Introducing the 50 in 50 series - Men's College Basketball Blog- ESPN

"Highly skewed" toward NCAA success.

They don't give the details how they calculated, but are awarding equally for winning crappy conferences.

The P5 are the major conferences that have all members playing each other. There aren't many left standing. There are a handful of others that used to play good schedules before their conferences were folded (Big East).

They (ESPN's propaganda) aren't discounting playing garbage like in the Sunbelt. Good lord... they have Princeton and Pennsylvania tied at #22.

This is a brutal list of opponents to navigate:
Sun Belt
30. Western Kentucky
T-86. South Alabama
93. Louisiana-Monroe
T-114. Arkansas-Little Rock
T-124. Middle Tennessee
132. Louisiana-Lafayette
T-154. Troy
T-193. Arkansas State
T-242. North Texas
T-247. Florida Atlantic
278. Florida International

This ESPN list is malarkey.

Check the list by fanside.
They list each teams accomplishments. That's the one where TN was tied for 65 with UTEP and WKU was at 24.

Really don't think you're factoring how much the sport has changed over the years.
I was watching when it was all white boys in Keds.

P5 is close to irrelavent in this era.
Take a team like Cincy that has 2 NCs now in the american that didn't exist 2 years ago.

Before the 1980s, talent was much more localized. That's why teams we now consider mid majors from weak conferences were able to pull off the NCs.
The competition was relative to the era.

Another conference gauntlet that WKU had to endure:

Ohio Valley
28. Murray State
131. Austin Peay
176. Morehead State
226. Tennessee Tech
T-229. Eastern Kentucky
T-234. Eastern Illinois
T-240. Jacksonville State
T-247. SE Missouri State
T-261. Tennessee State
T-261. Tennessee-Martin

Florida wins two national chpionshops and are tied for 40th.

SEC
3. Kentucky
25. Arkansas
37. Missouri
T-40. Florida
47. Alabama
48. LSU
55. Tennessee
68. Vanderbilt
T-104. Texas A&M
T-121. Mississippi State
T-144. Auburn
T-146. South Carolina
171. Georgia
T-234. Ole Miss

Much of WKU's success occurred when they were early adopters of including black players on their rosters.

You want to talk RPIs?
Take a look at this weak SEC you've been pushing this season.

Florida 5
Texas AM 17
Alabama 27
KY 29
USC 41
GA 45
Vandy 51
Auburn 52
Ole Miss 76

We've got 13 games against these weaklings.
